News from Farmers Insurance, Polson office
POLSON — Senior golfers from all over western Montana participated in the 5th annual Farmers Insurance Senior Open Golf Tournament, held May 17 and 18 at Polson Bay Golf Course. Tracy Dooley, local Farmers Insurance Agent and tournament chairman, reported that 57 senior players age 50 and older teed it up for two days of golf and raised $1,784 for the Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County.
Dooley would like to thank all those that donated prizes and to the following sponsors: Wayne Klemann, Farmers Insurance District Office; Alpha Technologies, Don Aadsen Ford, Glacier Bank, Odyssey Auto Glass, Fidelity Title, and Walmart pharmacy. Special thanks go out to Mark Beckley and Bob Slaven for all their help. Tournament champions this year were Donna Bussi of Creston, B.C. for the women and Craig Hurlbert of Hamilton for the men.
Dooley reports that the tournament has raised $7,762 throughout the past five years aiding the March of Dimes, the Polson Senior Citizens Center, and now the Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County.
Dooley and his tournament committee are now searching for a new beneficiary from the Mission Valley area for next year’s tournament.
