Claudia M. Marshall

MISSOULA — Claudia M. (Main, Duncan) Marshall of Missoula walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 24, 2014, at the age of 94. She was born April 16, 1920, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Lillie Jones Main and Clifford Cary Main. As a child the family moved to Harlem and lived on a farm.

In 1936 Claudia married Roy Duncan and they had three sons: Ron, Doug and Cliff. Roy passed away just shortly before their 50th anniversary.

In February 1990 Claudia married Louis Marshall. Soon after they moved to Polson so Claudia could be closer to her sisters. Claudia loved to travel and was active in Good Sam Club. Claudia also enjoyed her friends, beading necklaces and ceramics.

Her parents, both husbands and nine siblings precede Claudia in death. She is survived by her three sons: Ron Duncan (wife Julie) of Polson, Doug Duncan of Polson and Cliff Duncan (wife Debbie) of Missoula.

Her two sisters Pearl Jackson of Polson and Edith Phillips of Hot Springs; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members survive her.

Claudia was loved by anyone who met her. She was a wonderful loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Anybody was welcome at her home and her dinner table. She loved to feed everyone. She was greatly loved and we will miss her.

Services will be at Polson Community Church, 1814 First Street E in Polson, on Thursday, May 29, at 11 a.m., with Rod Benner officiating. Messages of condolence may be sent to: www.groganfuneralhome.com.
