POLSON — EAA chapter 1122 will be flying kids, also known as Young Eagles, at the Polson airport on Saturday, June 14 starting at 9 a.m. All kids between the ages of 8 and 17, with their parent’s permission, will get to ride in an airplane free of charge.
A pancake breakfast will be available from 8 to 11 a.m. for a donation of $5 for adults. Kids eat free.
The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people ages 8-17 an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. Since 1992, more than 2.1 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight through this program. Young Eagles have been registered in more than 90 different countries and have been flown by nearly 40,000 volunteer pilots.
So, kids, grab your parents (or parents grab your kids) and drag them out to the Polson airport Saturday morning, June 14 and the EAA will give you an opportunity to learn more about airplanes and go flying.
