Polson

POLSON — If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, then doesn’t it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed, tree surgeons debarked, and dry cleaners depressed?

Wanda has been put in the hospital for a few days with pneumonia. She assures us that she is feeling better and getting a little stronger each day. We hope she is back with us as soon as she is able.

We hope you have noticed our beautiful flowers that Kaye, Jo and Kelli have planted outside of the north door here at the center. Marvin Kaschke donated them in memory of his wife Janet. Our little garden spot will be called the Janet Kaschke Memorial Garden. We will be putting up the sign within the next few weeks. We hope you all enjoy them and think of Jan as you look at them.

Menu for the  week:

•  Thursday, June 12: steak and gravy with whipped potatoes

•  Friday, June 13: chef salad

•  Monday, June 16: barbecued sandwich, French fries

•  Tuesday, June 17: hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes

•  Wednesday, June 18: Swedish meatballs

The safe driving class is on June 17 from 9-11:30 p.m. with a break for lunch and resuming at 1-2:30 p.m.

Starting this month, the veterans’ representative will be here on the third Tuesday of every month from 10 a.m.-noon. This is the old schedule and they have found that they can see more of our local veterans by using this schedule.  Sorry for any inconvenience and I hope we have finally worked out all the glitches.

We understand that Patsy from the Tribal Senior Center has been under the weather the last few days and we hope that she is up and going real soon.

Bingo is every Friday night at 7 p.m.

Why is a person who plays the piano called a pianist but a person who drives a racecar is not called a racist?

Have a good week.
