FLATHEAD COUNTY — After days of searching for Shannon Turner of Pablo, authorities discovered her deceased body in her maroon Chevy Uplander in southern Flathead County at about 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 8.

In a phone interview on July 14, Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry said Turner’s death was consistent with a suicide.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle was located after responding to a tip from a citizen. As the location was in Flathead County, the LCSO contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in locating and confirming that this was the missing vehicle.

On June 30, Turner, 40, told her 13-year old daughter she was headed to work in Kalispell when she left her Pablo home on Kennedy Drive at 8:30 a.m., her husband, Kevin Turner said.

In a press release, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said they would like to thank the public and the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in bringing closure to this case.

A food drive has been set up to help Turner’s family. The following items may be dropped off at the Lake County Courthouse in Patti Kugler’s outer office in the donation boxes:
