POLSON — Silence is golden, unless you have a puppy. Then, silence is suspicious … very, very suspicious.
I will take a hiatus from featuring our members who have made a significant difference. All of our members, of course, are important and contribute to our success.
The bridge scores for July 15 had Jeanette Brown at first with a score of 3330 and Rachel Valett at second with 2230 and for July 22 it shows Bob Gorsuch taking high with 2930 (no surprise there), Jeanette Brown had second with 2510, followed by Dean Greiner with 2100. Gotta pick it up, Dean.
The lunch menu for the coming week is:
• Thursday, July 31: pork tips, gravy and noodles
• Friday, Aug. 1: cheeseburgers, tater tots, macaroni salad
• Monday, Aug. 4: spaghetti, garlic bread
• Tuesday, Aug. 5: ham slices, sweet potatoes
• Wednesday, Aug. 6th: hamburger steak, noodles

Just a friendly reminder that the toenail clinic will be on Wednesday, Aug. 13, starting around 10 a.m. and going till noon and that the veteran representative will be here on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m.-noon.
