POLSON — The cheapest way to trace your family tree is to run for office.

Every two months we package commodities here at the center. We go through about 1,000 plastic shopping bags and are always in need of them. The green ones from Super 1 Foods are best; they’re bigger and stronger but we’d appreciate any you can save up.

Thanks you, Chuck Wall, for your donation of meat. And congratulations on your first place prize at the cook-off.

Thanks also go to Margaret Clay, one of our volunteer meal delivery drivers. Even though she’s busy, she’ll drop what she’s doing and come in when we get in a bind. She and people like Jane Holland and Ken Smith, our other volunteers, are what keep us going.

The lunch menu for the coming week is as follows:

•  Thursday, Aug. 14:  hot turkey sandwiches

•   Friday, Aug. 15: hamburger gravy over whipped potatoes

•   Monday, Aug. 18: ham salad sandwich

•  Tuesday, Aug. 19: Salisbury streak with noodles

•  Wednesday, Aug. 20: sausage gravy, biscuits

Do you have questions regarding our lunches? If so, please give us a call at (406) 883-4735.

Also, call us for a seat at the AARP Safe Driving Class here on Tuesday, Aug. 19, and we’ll put you on the list.

The veterans’ representative will be here on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m.-noon.

Bridge scores for the week of Aug. 1, were Jeanette Brown first and Rachel Vallett second. Good playing ladies.

Ever hear about the short fortuneteller who escaped from jail? She was a small medium at large.

Have a great week.
