Arlee Indian Club to host dinner
ARLEE — “Supaman” will be the guest speaker at the annual Community Dinner on May 20 at 6 p.m. in the Arlee School cafeteria.
Supaman, whose real name is Christian Takes Gun Parrish, lives on the Crow Reservation and is a member of the Apsaalooke Nation. He brings a message of hope through dance, hip-hop, culture, humor and music.
The Arlee Indian Club and Arlee Indian Education Committee will honor and recognize Arlee’s American Indian high school seniors set to graduate and American Indian eighth-grade students being promoted. Guest entertains on Heritage Day
ARLEE — Jerrikson “J-Stylez” Hosteen, a motivational guest speaker, dubbed “the first American Indian basketball entertainer in the world” will be at the American Indian Cultural Heritage Day on May 21 at Arlee School. J-Stylez, a Dine Native from Sawmill, Arizona, incorporates numerous juggling, spinning and dribbling basketball tricks into his program.
Students will have the opportunity to engage in many cultural activities throughout the day including beading pouches, native games, setting up a teepee and native plant education.
A social powwow will be held in the new gym from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. All dancers and drummers are invited to come and powwow at the school. For more information, call Willie Wright at (406) 726-3216, ext. 2310.

Cancer benefit held
ARLEE — A spaghetti benefit dinner will be served on Saturday, May 23, for Mandy Hayes-Belcourt at Arlee Brown Building. The event will include live music, life and silent auctions and a gun raffle. Doors open at noon. The silent auction starts at 1 p.m. and the live auction is at 3 p.m. Spaghetti dinner is $5 per plate and kids under 2 years are free.
