Learn specifics of ‘Obamacare’
CHARLO — Joe Balyeat, who has served 12 years in the Montana legislature in both the House and the Senate, will make a presentation entitled “Obamacare 101,” at the Monday, Nov. 10, meeting of the Lake County Republican Women. The meeting begins at noon at the Allentown Restaurant. Everyone interested in learning more about the specific effects of Obamacare is cordially invited to attend this no-host luncheon.

Developmental Screening held
CHARLO — A free Developmental and Preschool Screening Clinic for children ages 0-5 years of age will take place in the Charlo School District on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Dixon Preschool (406) 246-3566, from 9-11 a.m. and at the Charlo Elementary School from (406) 644-2206 from noon-3 p.m. Please call to schedule an appointment for your child’s screening or to receive more information. This free screening will include gross motor, fine motor, language concepts, communication skills, communication concepts, hearing and vision screening.
Humanities speaker scheduled at church
CHARLO — The Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition will host Humanities Montana Speakers Bureau program: “Very White? A Conversation About White Racial Identity in Montana,” with Tobin Miller Shearer on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The program will be at Mission Valley United Methodist Church, 70715 Hwy 93, top of Post Creek Hill, with a potluck at 6 p.m. and conversation at 7 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public. Partial funding for the Speakers Bureau program is provided by a legislative grant from Montana’s Cultural Trust and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Annual talent show on tap in Charlo
CHARLO — Charlo’s annual Talent Show will be in the old gym on the stage, Thursday, Nov. 13, after the junior high basketball games. The time the show starts depends on the games. We are shooting for between 7 and 7:30 p.m.
All proceeds/donations will go toward the sophomore class of 2017.
There is no admittance fee and food and beverages will be available to purchase.
