Graduate Honoring held at SKC
PABLO — Salish Kootenai College will host their Annual Spring Powwow and Graduate Honoring on May 11 and 12, with Grand Entries starting at 7 p.m., Friday night and continuing Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center. There will be concessions, vendors and raffles with all proceeds going to help with the powwow. This year, all area high school graduates are invited to participate in the Honoring Friday night. Save the date, explore cost of mass incarceration
PABLO — “The American Justice: Criminal Justice and the Era of Mass Incarceration” – a panel led by Missoula attorney, Jacob Coolidge will take place from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, at SKC’s auditorium, 58138 Highway 93. Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition and Humanities Montana invite you to explore the human and financial costs of mass incarceration in our community – as Jacob Coolidge leads a discussion panel, including representatives from Tribal Defenders and Montana Innocence Project.

‘Standing Tall and Proud with our Elders’ activities continue
PABLO — Two Eagle River School will host “Standing Tall and Proud with our Elders” activities from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, in celebration of Elders’ Week. Activities include: dry meat, social time, interview, photo booth, Bingo and other games, fun run/walk at 10 a.m., a forum/elders’ panel at 11 a.m. and an elders/youth Olympics at 1:30 p.m. Elders panel participants will be paid a stipend. Elders’ Week activities reach final day
PABLO — Two Eagle River School will host the final day for “Standing Tall and Proud with our Elders” activities from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, May 24. Activities include: a 1 p.m. Stickgame, luncheon/dinner at 3 p.m., a silent auction from 3-6 p.m. and a social pow wow beginning at 4 p.m. Stick game must have one TERS student. Women 4 Wellness event held at SKC
PABLO — Women 4 Wellness strives to increase health awareness and healthy behaviors among women of the Flathead Indian Reservation and Lake County, by bringing together service providers and other organizations at a single location.
