Rural Development invites community to Open Office Days
PABLO — All community members are invited to Open Office Days for USDA Rural Development from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 11 at Salish Kootenai Housing Authority. USDA Rural Developments provide loan and/or grant programs for homeownership, rental assistance, home repair and rehab, essential community facilities, water and waste facilities and business expansions and acquisitions.

Annual powwow held
PABLO — Salish Kootenai College will host their annual spring pow wow and graduation honoring on May 13 and 14, with Grand Entries starting at 6 p.m. Friday night and continuing Saturday at noon and at 6 p.m. in the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center in Pablo. Contest dancing is slated to begin Friday and includes junior, teen and adult categories, as well as golden age. There will be concessions, vendors and raffles with all proceeds going to helping with the powwow. Vendor space is available so call to reserve a spot. PABLO — The SKC Library will hold a Used Book Sale on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 and 19, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Hardbacks are $1, paperbacks are $.50. All genres are available and there is something for everyone.
