POLSON — The January Friendship Table Dinner is on Jan. 13 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.
Pachyderms invite Judge Christopher to speak
POLSON — The Lake County Pachyderm Club will meet Friday, Jan. 13, at noon in the Rural Polson Fire Department building on Regatta Road in Polson. District Judge Kim Christopher will be the featured speaker. She will explain the need for a separate criminal justice building. She is expected to share courtroom examples of potentially explosive situations where feuding family members needed to be separated by deputy sheriffs. Anyone wishing to be informed on this issue is cordially invited to attend the meeting.

‘Youth Mental Health First Aid’ class offered
POLSON — A “Youth Mental Health First Aid” Class will be given at Polson Foursquare Church on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
This free 8-hour training teaches a five-step action plan to offer initial help to young people showing signs of mental illness in a crisis, and connect them with appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help care. To register for the class, call 406-300-7011 or 406-261-8723.
Watch ‘A Culture of Health …” at Showboat
POLSON — Premiere the screening of “A Culture of Health: Farm to Hospital in Montana” at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Showboat Cinemas in Polson during the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest, commonly called FLIC. Continue the conversation during a social hour from 3-4 p.m. at the Vine & Tap in Polson.

Free intro to Zen Meditation class offered
POLSON — A special Introduction to Zen Meditation Class is being offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main Street, on Wednesday, on Jan. 25, from 7-9 p.m. The class, presented by Zen Priest Jerry Smyers, includes an introduction to Zen, meditation instruction and practice, a questions and answer period and refreshments. Museum showcases traveling exhibit
POLSON — The Miracle of Montana Museum’s “Free Night at the Museum” will take place on Thursday, Jan. 26, with the National Archive’s traveling exhibit of “The Bill of Rights and You,” which, commemorates its 225th anniversary.
Shooters hold social, dinner, meeting
POLSON — The Polson Shooters’ Association will hold its annual general membership meeting on Jan. 26, 2017, at the Polson VFW. The meeting starts with social time (no host bar) at 5:30 p.m. A spaghetti dinner follows at 6 p.m. with the meeting after.
