Establish health with meditation
POLSON — A Zen meditation class is offered at the YogaHeart Studio on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. at 209 Ridgewater Drive. Please join us to get your new year, both mind and body, off to a great start. We are located within the Red Lion Inn with a private entrance to Yogaheart just south of the Red Lion’s main entrance. New time for Classic Country Jammin’
POLSON — Classic Country Jammin’ will be held on Feb. 2 in the Elks ballroom from 1-4 p.m. (The time change is to allow for winter conditions and early sunset.) This event will continue on the first Sunday of every month. Bring your favorite instrument and join us for a few hours of fun. Everyone is welcome to play, sing, dance or just listen. We will have coffee and snacks for you. You do not have to be an Elk member to utilize the bar. Cover charge is $5 but there is no charge for singers or players. Learn to crochet through Feb. 25
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library’s popular “Needle Arts Series” is back. Crochet is back. The library is happy to provide four crochet sessions in February as part of our ongoing fiber arts series. Mark your calendars now with these dates: Feb.4, 11, 18 and 25 at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room. Please bring your crochet hook and yarn (cotton recommended). Hooks are also available for $5 in our gift shop. There will also be yarn on hand.

Ken’s Country Combo plays
POLSON — Join us for the community dance at the Elks on Main Street on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 7-10 p.m. Music is provided by Ken’s Country Combo playing a variety of classic country and vintage rock and roll. Snacks are provided during the break at 8:30. No Elk membership is required. The cover charge is $5. Come early for a good hamburger as Elk members will be cooking 5-7 p.m. prior to our dance. Everyone is welcome.

Missoula author to sign books
POLSON — Josh Quick, an award winning Missoula illustrator, has created a book giving the inside scoop on some of the remarkable places, people, history and things in Montana. Josh will be signing his “Montana Quick Facts” book at Handmade Montana, 212 Main St., from 5:30-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7.

Annual quilt show begins
POLSON — Join us for All In Stitches’ annual quilt show “Quilt Walk Around Polson.” Quilts will hang in businesses on Main Street from Saturday, Feb. 8, through Sunday, Feb. 23. POLSON — The film “Emanuel,” a documentary, which weaves together the history of race relations in Charleston, South Carolina, in the aftermath of the shooting following a prayer meeting at Mother Emanuel Church, five years ago. The film will be shown at the North Lake County Library in Polson on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. This is a poignant story of justice and faith, love and hate, while examining the healing power of forgiveness.
