Another opportunity to see Christmas production
POLSON — The Port Polson Players’ Christmas play, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” plays this weekend on Saturday, Dec. 8, and begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Theatre on the Lake.
MVCA to hold winter dinner fundraiser
POLSON — The Mission Valley Christian Academy will hold a winter dinner with a silent auction and guest speaker, NHL hockey player David Booth, on Saturday, Dec. 8, starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are available through the school and are $50 each. The dinner will be held at Polson Alliance Church.

POLSON — Makerspace at North Lake County Library is a 90-minute program beginning at 3:30 p.m. for kids of all ages and their caregivers any Monday the library is open. The project for Monday, Dec. 10, is making a sundial.

POLSON — A classic Christmas movie, "Christmas in Connecticut," will be shown on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. at the North Lake County Library. Check our website for the three movie titles that will be shown in December. Yes, we will be serving popcorn. These are family friendly films. The showings are free and open to the public.

POLSON — “Prairie Bandits: The Story of Montana’s black-footed ferrets” by John Ashley will be Mission Mountain Audubon’s evening program on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Polson Library meeting room.

Don’t miss library’s Friday Christmas flick
POLSON — On Friday, Dec. 14, at 3:30 p.m. the North Lake County Library will show a movie with a star-studded cast full of popular British actors.This holiday movie tells the story of Santa’s youngest son, Arthur, who is called on unexpectedly to save Christmas - and not just for the one child whose gifts Santa forgot to deliver, but for everyone at the South Pole. This Sony Pictures animated film is rated PG and lasts 97 minutes.

Exchange food for fines at library
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library is holding a food drive. All contributions will be donated to the Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry. Patrons with overdue items or fines on their cards are encouraged to bring sealed, commercially prepared, nonperishable food items to the circulation desk. Fines will be reduced by one dollar for each item donated. Please note that forgiveness of fines does not include lost or damaged items. Patrons without fines are also encouraged to join in this event to help replenish the Food Pantry.

Ken’s Country Combo plays for Christmas dance
POLSON — Please join us for the Community Christmas Dance at the Elks’ on Main Street on Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 7-10 p.m. Ken’s Country Combo will play a variety of vintage country and rock and roll music for you to dance to in the ballroom. There will be a drawing for door prizes and other gifts. Everyone is welcome. No Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5. Come and join in on the fun.
Rural Fire District board to meet
POLSON – The regular monthly meeting of the Polson Rural Fire District Board of Trustees will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station number 1, 25B Regatta Road. Note the date change. An agenda will be available the Monday prior to meeting.

‘Night at the Museum’ series ends
POLSON — Miracle of America’s 4th Thursday, free “Night at the Museum” will end the series with its Christmas program on Dec. 27 at 6:30 p.m. A 30-minute Christmas special, starring Jimmy Stewart and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will be followed by a filmed-in-Montana movie, “Headin’ Home for the Holidays,” starring singer Amy Grant and Dennis Weaver. This movie lasts about 60 minutes. The movie was filmed in Glacier National Park and the Scriver Art Gallery in Browning. Treats and donations are welcome. POLSON —The Northwest Accordion Association Community Dance will be held on Jan. 6, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. at the Elks on Main St. There will be a variety of music you can listen or dance to. You do not have to be a member of the Elks or the Accordion Association. Remember, if you sing or play you don’t pay. Admission is $2 for members, $3 for non-members, and $5 to become a member of the association. Everyone is welcome, to play, sing, dance or just listen. Come and join us if you can.
