Pirates play last basketball game
POLSON — Come out and support the Polson Pirates basketball teams on Tuesday, Feb. 16, against Whitefish High School at Linderman Gymnasium. Freshman game starts at 4:15 p.m., JV game is at 5:45 p.m. and varsity at 7:30 p.m. This is the boys’ last game and is Senior Night. For more information, go to the Polson High School website.
Self Help Law Center comes to Polson
POLSON — Missoula Self Help Law Center will be in Polson on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the North Lake County Public Library from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. They will provide services on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Walk-ins are welcome all day or to schedule an appointment please call 406-258-3428.

Annual Quilt Show on tap in Polson through Feb. 23
POLSON — Join us for All In Stitches’ 15th Annual Walk Around Polson Quilt Show. Quilts will hang in businesses on Main Street from Saturday, Feb. 13, through Saturday, Feb. 27. Plan some time to pick up a ballot and walk around Polson to vote on your favorite quilts by Feb. 23. Ribbons will be hung Feb. 24. Community Dance continues tradition
POLSON — The Community Dance has been going on at the Elks Club for nearly 25 years. Every first and third Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. Ken’s Country Combo plays wonderful tunes and does take requests. Come check it out.

Learn about digital technology
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library, 2 First Ave. E, will host Digital Learning Day on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in the library meeting room. Trainer Sara Fisher will instruct and answer your questions about technology and electronic devices. Devices such as an iPad, Kindle, etc. will be available to explore, along with instructional practice involving the library’s e-resources. There will also be laptops featuring different topics or skills. Information about free technology tutorials will be offered. Any one of any age or skill level is invited. Parents as Partners invite the public
POLSON —The theme for the Wednesday, Feb. 17, Parents as Teachers Community Connection will be “Random Acts of Kindness.” Open to the public, this fun event will include snacks, an activity or two, places to climb and crawl through, and story time. Kids will be able to take a book home with them too. Come join us from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Lake County Public Health Department, 802 Main St.
Pregnant moms and families with children under the age of 5 are welcome to attend this free program. This is a good chance to meet other families with young children in the area, and to learn more about the Parents as Teachers Home Visiting program. Call LCPH at 406-883-7288 for more information.
Roundtable Resource meeting to serve lunch

Parent Educators to address Kiwanis Club
POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Thursday of each month at the KwaTaqNuk Resort, Koostatah room from noon-1 p.m. Please join us Feb. 18 when our guest speakers will be Jenifer Blumberg and Savanna Bell, RN, who are Parent Educators with the Lake County Public Health Department. They will give an overview on the Parents as Teachers Home Visiting Program. They will also provide a summary of the Adverse Childhood Experience Study and its impact on children and families. Finally, they will talk about The Nest, a new home in Lake County/Flathead Reservation serving pregnant and parenting young moms.

Annual Winter Fest to benefit ‘Soup’s On’
POLSON — Blue Smoke will headline Polson’s Seventh Annual Winter Fest, Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Elks Club Ball Room, beginning at 5 p.m. “Soup’s On,” a free food program relies on this yearly fundraiser to support these efforts. Admission is only $10, which includes a Montana Feast in the Spirit of the Valley. Desserts will feature our finest bakers who volunteer weekly at Soup’s On. Children under 10 are free. A silent auction and 50/50 drawing are also on tap. Donation items for the auction are greatly appreciated. Suicide Prevention group to meet
POLSON — Partners in Suicide Prevention and Intervention will meet at the Tribal Health Building, third floor conference room on Feb. 24 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Presenters will be Erika Weber, director of Lake House Mental Health Crisis Center and Diane Conti, Director of Mental Health Services.

Free community dinner served
POLSON — A free community dinner will be served on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E. The menu will include a potato bar, salads and desserts. All are welcome.
Museum celebrates famous people
POLSON — The Miracle of America Museum’s free night at the museum has been moved to the fourth Thursday evening of each month. Programs start at 6:30 p.m. Treats and donations are accepted.
