Barron to speak on Justice Center levy loss
POLSON — You are invited to the Lake County Pachyderm, on Friday, Feb. 14, from noon-1 p.m. to hear Bill Barron speak on the loss of the Justice Center levy and where Lake County government will go from here. The meeting will be held at the Polson Rural Fire Station off Regatta Road.

Library observes President’s Day
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, in observance of Presidents Day.

Board-game group starts
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will start a board-game group on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. Are you a board game enthusiast? Are you the only one in your family that wants to play? Join a new group to play games together. All ages are invited. We will also meet on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. on March 18, April 8 and May 20.
Valentine dance held
POLSON —Please join us for the community dance in the ballroom at the Elks on Main St. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 7- 10 p.m. Music will be provided by Ken’s Country Combo. We will celebrate Valentine’s Day and February birthdays. Wear Valentine’s Day colors. There will be snacks and birthday cake provided at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome and no Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5. Come and check us out.

Locals share highlights of Machu Picchu trip
POLSON — The Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Thursday of each month at KwaTaqNuk Resort, Koostatah room from noon-1 p.m. Please join us on Thursday, Feb. 20, when we will have a Machu Picchu trip in review. Three local men, James Manley, Dennis DeVries and Brodie Moll will tell of their recent trip to the sacred site of Machu Picchu in the high Andean peaks of Peru. The speakers will also bring in some personal stories and humor to entertain us.
SPLASH to be held at Polson Chamber office
POLSON —The Polson Chamber February Support Polson Late Afternoon Social Hour sponsor is the Polson Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 5-7 p.m. at the Polson Chamber of Commerce office, 402 First St. E number 102. Cost of entry is $2, which directly supports the Polson Chamber of Commerce Fireworks Fund. This is an excellent opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas with chamber board members, connect with fellow chamber members, and learn about some of the exciting things the chamber is planning for 2020. Johnny B plays piano
POLSON — Watch and listen on Friday, Feb. 21, at Polson High School auditorium, at 7 p.m., as Johnny B, the “Piano Man,” goes beyond a musical performance, mixing music with storytelling and photography. It is sure to be an entertaining multi-media presentation as he depicts life on the beautiful Flathead Reservation and the influence the Flathead Lake plays in our lives.

Learn to crochet
POLSON — The popular Needle Arts Series has returned to the North Lake County Public Library. Crochet is back. The library is happy to provide four crochet sessions in February 2020 as part of our ongoing fiber arts series. The final date is Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room. Please bring your crochet hook and yarn (cotton recommended). A limited number of hooks are also available for $5. There will also be yarn on hand.

POLSON — Technology Tuesday begins with “Tablets: from starting up to playing games,” on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at the North Lake County Public Library. Are you stymied by what your tablet can do? Heather will show you the basics of playing games, reading electronic books and using applications. Start enjoying your tablet. You can bring your own or borrow one of ours.
