Dance with your sweetheart
POLSON — Join the “Valentine’s Dance for all” and dance to the music of Ken’s Country Combo at the Elks on Main Street on Feb. 7, from 7-10 p.m. Bring your sweetheart to the dance and have fun. Snacks are shared at 8:30 p.m. and we give away door prizes.
Drop-off quilts for sharing
POLSON — Share your quilts with us for All In Stitches’ annual quilt show, “Quilt Walk Around Polson,” which begins Saturday, Feb. 10. Please drop quilts off by Wednesday, Feb. 7, at All In Stitches.

Service dogs to be discussed at Pachyderm meeting
POLSON – All are invited to the Pachyderm meeting on Friday, March 9 from 12-1 p.m. at the Polson Rural fire department off Regatta Rd. Janet Austin will provide training on levels of working dog classification from Federal ADA and FAA laws about who can bring service animals into public settings and businesses. A real life story will be shared about Bill and his faithful dog JP and how they came to be a team plus information and resources on how to obtain a service dog.
Sheriff to discuss jail changes
POLSON — A Polson Pachyderm meeting will be held on Feb. 9 from noon - 1 p.m. at Polson Rural Fire Department off Regatta Road. Sheriff Don Bell will speak about the work being done to implement NIC assessment recommendations and lower the overcrowding in the Lake County Jail.

Join multi-faith event, explore commonalities
POLSON — Around the world, people are more similar than they are different and religious beliefs also have common threads. Join Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition as we explore the commonalities and differences of some of the world’s major faiths at Fellowship Hall of Polson United Methodist Church, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E. from 2-4 p.m. Humanities Montana speaker, Samir Bitar, will join leaders of Montana’s Baha’I, Buddhist, Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths, asking questions of one another and answering audience questions. POLSON — The Polson Rural Fire Board of Trustees’ February meeting will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station No. 1 meeting room, 25-B Regatta Rd.
Zen Meditation Class offered
POLSON — Zen Meditation Class is offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main Street, Polson on Wednesdays in February (Feb. 14, 21, 28) at 6 p.m. The classes will be presented by Zen Priest Zenku, Jerry Smyers. There is no charge for the class. Everyone is welcome. For more details call 847-721-0665.
