Share thoughts at nonpartisan potluck
POLSON — The community is invited to join a non-partisan, local grassroots group for Potluck for Democracy from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the Indian Senior Center, 701 First St. E. in Polson. The event is an opportunity to make friends while building community and positive citizenship through sharing food and dialogue about things that matter in the community, state and nation. Please bring a dish to share. The gathering is sponsored by Montana Towns under 10,000 and Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition.

Give at Red Cross Blood Drive
POLSON — Donate blood to the Red Cross on March 28 from noon-5 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E. Make an appointment to give blood by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
All eligible blood donors are encouraged to give blood and help save lives in March, Red Cross Month. Donating is easier than ever with the free Blood Donor App and RapidPass where donors can schedule and manage donation appointments, access their donor card, track the impact of their donations and earn rewards. Donors can also save up to 15 minutes at the blood drive by using RapidPass to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questions online at redcrossblood.org/ RapidPass before coming to their appointments.
Tribe to discuss invasive species
POLSON — The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Natural Resources Department will hold public education meetings about protecting the watershed from Aquatic Invasive Species, such as quagga and zebra mussels, at the KwaTaqNuk Resort in the Alexander room on Tuesday, March 28, from 6-8 p.m.

Democrats to meet, discuss campaign strategy
POLSON — Polson Democrats are meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Soups On in Polson. At the same date and time, Ronan Democrats are meeting at the North Crow Clubhouse south of Pablo. The evening programs will focus on discussing the status of the democratic campaign for U.S. Congress and how local volunteers can work to elect Democratic candidate Rob Quist in the upcoming May 25 special election. Light refreshments will be served. Democrats interested in volunteering for the campaign are welcome to attend.
Learn the Art of Zen Meditation

POLSON — The annual Hawaiian Luau dinner will be at the First United Methodist Church, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E on Saturday, April 8. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner is served from 5-6:30 p.m. The pork loin and chicken dinner is $15 per person, $25 per couple and children ten and under are $6 each. Gianforte to visit Polson
POLSON — Greg Gianforte, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, will be in Polson, Thursday, April 13, at noon at the Red Lion Hotel for a “meet and greet” with voters. Anyone who would like to hear his positions on key issues, ask questions, or simply show his/her support is cordially invited. Lake County Republican Women will be providing a bowl of chili and a brownie for lunch. This is an opportunity for a one-on-one conversation and to welcome candidate Gianforte to our community.

New location for Polson Easter egg hunt
POLSON — The annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Polson Beta Sigma Phi is Saturday, April 15, with a fire truck siren start at 9 a.m. We have a new location this year; it is at the Polson fairgrounds (across the bridge). Kids from zero-fourth grade can come collect eggs, check out the fire truck, and meet the Easter Bunny. The finder of the golden egg in each age group will win a special Easter basket. The Confirmation and Youth Groups will serve a hearty breakfast at 8 a.m. There is no charge for the meal; however, donations will be gratefully accepted and directed to the ministry of Good Shepherd. The Easter Day service begins at 9 a.m. Holy Communion will be served. POLSON — The 27th annual Cowboy Ball will take place under the big tent at the Polson Fairgrounds on Friday, April 21. Canadian musicians entertain at PHS
POLSON — Everything Fitz is a family band featuring the high-energy fiddling and percussive step dancing of four of Canada’s finest young musicians. With roots in the Canadian old-time fiddle tradition and Ottawa Valley step dancing, their unique stage show combines a variety of musical styles-everything from traditional jigs and reels, bluegrass, jazz and swing standards, Celtic, gospel as well as novelty numbers and choreographed dance routines. Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door, or four admission tickets for $45 and seven admission tickets for $75. Youth 18 years old and under are free.
