Gianforte to visit Polson
POLSON — Greg Gianforte, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, will be in Polson, Thursday, April 13, at noon at the Red Lion Hotel for a “meet and greet” with voters. Anyone who would like to hear his positions on key issues, ask questions, or simply show his/her support is cordially invited. Lake County Republican Women will be providing a bowl of chili and a brownie for lunch. This is an opportunity for a one-on-one conversation and to welcome candidate Gianforte to our community.
Join Masumola Club’s Spring Fling
POLSON — Join friends and neighbors for a potluck gathering at the Club House on Masumola Road beginning with a 5:45 p.m. social hour. BYO beverage and a dish to share: (and your plate and silverware--don’t forget those, and a friend or two if they don’t have anything going). Suggested food distribution: A-H hot dish; I-O dessert; P-Z salad or vegetable. President Ron will most likely lead one of our notably brief, relaxed and delightful meetings following the meal.
Maundy Thursday service scheduled
POLSON — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, (across from Linderman School), will hold a Maundy Thursday service on April 13 to commemorate the Last Supper. POLSON — North Lake County Library presents Story Time on Thursdays for 3-5 year olds at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The one-hour program includes reading, rhymes, and crafts. This week’s story theme is “The Day Tiger Rose Said Goodbye.”

POLSON — The April Friendship Table Dinner is on April 14 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.
Prayer time, service planned on Good Friday
POLSON — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, (across from Linderman School), will hold a Good Friday service on April 14 beginning at 7 p.m. The sanctuary will be open for personal prayer from 3-7 p.m. There will be meditative piano playing from 6-7 p.m. We gather in silence as we reflect on the Passion of Jesus. New location for Polson Easter egg hunt
POLSON — The annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Polson Beta Sigma Phi is Saturday, April 15, with a fire truck siren start at 9 a.m. We have a new location this year; it is at the Polson fairgrounds (across the bridge). Kids from zero-fourth grade can come collect eggs, check out the fire truck, and meet the Easter Bunny. The finder of the golden egg in each age group will win a special Easter basket. Easter service, activities planned
POLSON — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church events for Easter Sunday begin bright and early April 16. The Confirmation and Youth Groups will serve a hearty breakfast at 8 a.m. There is no charge for the meal; however, donations will be gratefully accepted and directed to the ministry of Good Shepherd. The Easter Day service begins at 9 a.m. Holy Communion will be served. The youth will also sponsor an Easter egg hunt following the Easter Day service at approximately 10:15 a.m. for the young children. POLSON — At this meeting, held in the Lake County Health Department conference room, the Community Action Partnership will be on hand to carry out a Focus Group. A full evening of fun planned for Cowboy Ball
POLSON — The 27th annual Cowboy Ball will take place under the big tent at the Polson Fairgrounds on Friday, April 21. No host cocktails and a silent auction are at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 6:30 p.m., a live auction is at 7:30 p.m. and dancing will follow. For more information call 406-883-1100. Tickets are $40 each and proceeds will benefit fairgrounds improvement.
Canadian musicians entertain at PHS
POLSON — Everything Fitz is a family band featuring the high-energy fiddling and percussive step dancing of four of Canada’s finest young musicians. With roots in the Canadian old-time fiddle tradition and Ottawa Valley step dancing, their unique stage show combines a variety of musical styles-everything from traditional jigs and reels, bluegrass, jazz and swing standards, Celtic, gospel as well as novelty numbers and choreographed dance routines. Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door, or four admission tickets for $45 and seven admission tickets for $75. Youth 18 years old and under are free. POLSON — The 11th annual CASA Golf Scramble takes place at Polson Golf Course on April 22 with 9 a.m. registration and a 11 a.m. shotgun start. There will also be a Hole-In-One Event, a barbecue celebration and an auction following golf. Proceeds benefit CASA of Lake and Sanders Counties who train advocates for neglected and abused children. Polson School Board holds Candidates Forum
POLSON — The Polson community is invited to participate in a candidates' forum with the three candidates who are vying for the two available seats on Polson School District board. The forum is sponsored by Polson Education Association and will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in the Polson High School Library. The election of these board members will take place on May 2.
