Law Center to provide services at library
POLSON — Missoula Self Help Law Center will be in Polson on Tuesday, April 19, at the North Lake County Public Library from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. They will provide services on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Best Beginnings offers special night for young families in Ronan
POLSON — Best Beginnings, in conjunction with local educational entities in the Mission Valley, is hosting a night for families with young children. Parents with children planning on attending kindergarten next year are especially encouraged to attend. On April 20, at the Pablo Elementary School Gym, this free event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a light dinner, family activities and a goodies bag. Child Care will be provided. Dancers wanted at Elks
POLSON — A community dance will be held at the Elks on Wednesday, April 20, from 7-10 p.m. Ken’s Country Combo will be playing. We’re looking for more dancers; come on out.
Flathead Basin Commission to meet
POLSON — Members of the Flathead Basin Commission will hold a meeting on April 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Lake County Courthouse in Polson. The a.m. portion of the meeting will focus on Aquatic Invasive Species updates. The afternoon portion of the meeting will feature a series of presentations related to Flathead waters.

PAT group plans fun event
POLSON — We are going to plant a happy face at the April Parents as Teachers Playgroup and pregnant moms and families with children under the age of 5 are welcome to attend this free program. Kids will be able to take both their plant and a book home with them. Come join us from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Lake County Public Health Department, 802 Main St. This is a good chance to meet other families with young children in the area, and to learn more about the Parents as Teachers Home Visiting program. Enjoy illusion, entertainment
POLSON — Mission Valley Live will present The Great Kaplan on Friday, April 22, at 7 p.m. at Polson High School. The show’s illusion, music, juggling and deadpan comedy collide in a hilarious vaudeville spectacle. Pachyderms discuss Syrian refugees
POLSON — On Friday, April 22, Representative Al Olszewski, who is on the Interim Children, Family and Human Services Committee, will discuss what he knows about Democrat Governor Bullock’s planned resettlement of Syrian refugees in western Montana. CASA group fundraises with golf
POLSON — CASA of Lake and Sanders Counties is holding its 10th annual Golf Scramble on Saturday April 23, at the Polson Bay Golf Course. This is our only major fundraiser each year. CASA trains and supports volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates to represent the best interests of children who have been subject to abuse and neglect. Advertise your business, sign up a team, or just donate to the cause. The four-person Golf Scramble begins with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. with a barbeque and auction to follow. Dinner theater raises funds for PHS
POLSON — “Anybody for tea?” A dinner theater to raise funds for PHS Theater and PHS Summer Spanish Club will take place April 23 and 24 at the Finley Point Montecahto Clubhouse. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. and the show will be at 7 p.m.
The cost is $20 for dinner and show, $10 for show only and $100 for a table for six. Tickets can be purchased by calling 406-698-7543 or emailing: phsboxoffice@polson.k12.mt.us. Show-only tickets will be available at the door.

POLSON — The Polson community will have a clean-up event on Friday, April 29,-Sunday, May 1. The information and supply center will be located at North Lake County Library where you may pick up trash bags, gloves and be assigned areas for cleanup.

Helping Hands Fund Spring Music Festival supports aid
POLSON — Harp, flute and guitar music will open the Spring Music Festival at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 1, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson. The festival is sponsored by the Polson Ministerial Association. A spaghetti supper, prepared by the Knights of Columbus, will be served immediately following the festival in the church basement.
The festival program includes Harpist Debbie Conrad, the Flathead Flute Choir and Guitarist Nathan Eyre in addition to three Mass Choir selections. This event promises to be uplifting, spiritual and exciting for participants as well as for the audience.
This annual concert is held to support the Polson Ministerial Association Helping Hands Fund. HHF is an ecumenical project that provides emergency assistance to Lake County residents as well as to folks traveling through the area.
Sandpiper to sponsor non-juried art show through May 27
POLSON — Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery will sponsor a non-juried show open to all artists April 16-May 27. Artistic interpretation of the theme, in any medium, will be accepted.
