Begin season with Mariners’ Camp
POLSON — MV Mariners Baseball Camp for Coaches and Players is April 2, 2017, from 12:30-3 p.m. at the Polson O’Malley Park. There’s no charge for coaches. Players’ cost is $45 and includes: instruction, T-shirt, lunch and admission to the next Mariners Game. After the Camp there will be a MV Mariners Blue and Green Scrimmage. MVCA holds open house
POLSON — Mission Valley Christian Academy will have their open house on Tuesday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. Come visit the teachers and classrooms, look at curriculum and listen to Mr. Bumgarner share the vision for next year. Dessert will be served. All are welcome. The school serves students in grades K-12th grade. Scholarships are available. MVCA is located two miles east on Hwy 35, 38907 Hwy 35. Agency on Aging holds ‘Snack and Facts’ meeting
POLSON — The Western Montana Area VI Agency on Aging office invites “well-aged” citizens and those who care for them to attend “Snacks and Facts” from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the North Lake County Library meeting room. The meeting includes good eats and some even better information about the many ways Area VI Agency on Aging serves our older population by providing information about and access to services available, nutritional support, Medicare help, financial assistance, and volunteer opportunities.

POLSON — North Lake County Library presents Story Time on Thursdays for 3-5 year olds at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The one-hour program includes reading, rhymes, and crafts. This week’s story theme is “On Bird Hill.”
Saturday, April 8
Annual Hawaiian Luau on tap
POLSON — The annual Hawaiian Luau dinner will be at the First United Methodist Church, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E on Saturday, April 8. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner is served from 5-6:30 p.m. The pork loin and chicken dinner is $15 per person, $25 per couple and children ten and under are $6 each. Entertainment and a homemade pie auction will follow dinner. Tickets can be purchased from a member of the First United Methodist Church, at the door or call 406-883-0099. Proceeds are used for local and church-wide Mission Outreach. Come join us for a night of fun and fellowship.

Gianforte to visit Polson
POLSON — Greg Gianforte, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, will be in Polson, Thursday, April 13, at noon at the Red Lion Hotel for a “meet and greet” with voters. Anyone who would like to hear his positions on key issues, ask questions, or simply show his/her support is cordially invited. Lake County Republican Women will be providing a bowl of chili and a brownie for lunch. This is an opportunity for a one-on-one conversation and to welcome candidate Gianforte to our community.
Join Masumola Club’s Spring Fling
POLSON — Join friends and neighbors for a potluck gathering at the Club House on Masumola Road beginning with a 5:45 p.m. social hour. BYO beverage and a dish to share: (and your plate and silverware--don’t forget those, and a friend or two if they don’t have anything going). Suggested food distribution: A-H hot dish; I-O dessert; P-Z salad or vegetable. President Ron will most likely lead one of our notably brief, relaxed and delightful meetings following the meal.

POLSON — The April Friendship Table Dinner is on April 14 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.
Prayer time, service planned on Good Friday
POLSON — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, (across from Linderman School), will hold a Good Friday service on April 14 beginning at 7 p.m. The sanctuary will be open for personal prayer from 3-7 p.m. There will be meditative piano playing from 6-7 p.m. We gather in silence as we reflect on the Passion of Jesus. New location for Polson Easter egg hunt
POLSON — The annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Polson Beta Sigma Phi is Saturday, April 15, with a fire truck siren start at 9 a.m. We have a new location this year; it is at the Polson fairgrounds (across the bridge). Kids from zero-fourth grade can come collect eggs, check out the fire truck, and meet the Easter Bunny. The finder of the golden egg in each age group will win a special Easter basket.
