Run, walk, support Relay for Life
POLSON — The Family Fun Mile and Skyline Challenge Run/Walk supports Lake County Relay for Life on Saturday, May 20. Registration is at 8 a.m. and start is at 9 a.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, Thirteenth Ave. E. Registration forms are available at St. Joseph Medical Center’s front desk. Pre-registration price until May 13 is $35 for a family of four or more and $10 for individuals. After May 13, family registration is $45 and the individual price is $20. Free Internet Safety Class offered at library
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will host a free Internet Safety class on Tuesday, May 23, at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room. Library Specialist Heather Miles will present an overview of Internet security and how to stay safe online. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops or tablets to follow along. Library laptops will also be available for attendees who don’t have a device. Anyone of any age or skill level is invited to attend. Registration is required.

Let spring inspire your coloring
POLSON — Spring Is Bustin’ Out All Over and an adult coloring program hosted by North Lake County Public Library will take place in the library meeting room on Wednesday, May 24. Two 90-minute sessions are offered at 2:30 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. Piano instrumental music is on tap for the afternoon session and the Mission Valley Choral Society Small Ensemble will appear for a set of vocal selections in the evening. The library provides coloring projects of all sizes, along with supplies and refreshments. Or, you may bring your own supplies. The library is located at 2 First Ave. E. Enjoy a free night at the museum
POLSON — On Thursday, May 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Miracle of America Museum, a mixed media program titled “Guns, Guns, Guns” will take place. We will begin with a short historic tour and exhibition of firearms dating from the first type up through cartridge guns. There will also be a safety issues presentation, information on buying your first gun, holsters, and ammunition, and information on legal issues. Representatives from various shooting clubs, gunsmiths and related businesses have been invited. If you have questions or something to share, call 406-270-7895. Treats and donations are welcome.

POLSON — North Lake County Library presents Story Time on Thursdays for 3-5 year olds at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The one-hour program includes reading, rhymes, and crafts. This week’s story theme is “Dinosaur Dances!’

Pioneer Museum opens in Polson
POLSON — The Polson Flathead Historical Museum, “The Pioneer Museum on Main Street” invites you to view amazing exhibits of daily life in the Mission Valley and Flathead Lake area in the late 1800s and early 1900s, such as the stagecoach, chuck wagon, fire trucks, Calamity Jane’s saddle and Flathead Lake’s ‘Nessie” (some say it was, some say it wasn’t, caught here) and much more. We open for the season on Memorial Day each year, and go until Friday, Sept. 15. The museum is located at 708 Main Street and operates Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (Closed on Sundays) There is a visitor fee of $10 and children under 10 years old are admitted free with a paying adult. Sandpiper opens new exhibit through June 25
POLSON — Sandpiper Art Gallery, 306 Main Street, Polson, presents “Montana West of the Mountains.” This exhibit will be the best images of everything we love about Montana and features member artists Antonia Wolf (photography), Sue Arneson (watercolor), Marie Stockhill (pottery), and guest artists Mike and Belinda Williams (photography) and jeweler Donna Miller. The exhibit continues until June 25. The Gallery is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
