Attend free night at the museum
POLSON – A free “Night at the Museum,” held the fourth Thursday of every month, is set for May 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Miracle of America Museum, 36094 Memory Lane, Polson. Lots of local history unfolds as we do a walking tour of a portion of the outside museum village. Learn more about early residents Jack and Elisabeth Welch’s sewing and saddle shops, Lewis’s and Uhde’s rival gas stations, Rolfson’s Queen Court, Gordon Fisher Optometry, the Trusler barn and more. Mussel infestation discussed at Pachyderm meeting
POLSON — On Friday, May 25, from noon-1 p.m. Pachyderms will host Tom McDonald, manager of Fish, Wildlife & Recreation and Conservation Department for the Salish & Kootenai Tribe. He will give an update on the efforts to control the mussel infestation in Montana lakes. He will raise awareness on how citizens or volunteers can play a part in protecting Flathead Lake. The group will meet at the Polson Rural Fire Station off Regatta Road.

Meet candidates at Miracle of America Museum
POLSON — At 7 p.m. on Monday, May 28, a “Meet & Greet” for three key candidates for election will be held in the public meeting room of The Miracle of America Museum, 36904 Memory Lane. Please come and hear Al Olszewski candidate for U.S. Senate; David Coffman candidate for Lake County Sheriff; and Gale Decker candidate for Lake County Commissioner. The meeting is informal, refreshments will be served, and the candidates will answer questions after their presentations.
North Lake County Library closes for holiday
POLSON — The North Lake County Library will be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.

POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library presents free twice monthly computer classes. This program of courses can provide you with computer and technology basics. Advanced Studies students showcase work
POLSON — The students in Polson’s Gifted Program’s Advanced Studies classes (grades 6, 7/8, and 9-12) invite you to an evening of displays and presentations. You may come any time between 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30. This event will take place in the library at Polson High School. Art Gallery opens new exhibit through June 15
POLSON — Sandpiper Art Gallery, 306 Main Street, Polson, presents until June 15, “Living in the Moment.” This exhibit will be everything we love about Montana and will feature member artists Kathy Calkins (acrylic painter), Marla Hall (photography), Mary K. LeProwse (fused glass), Joanne Simpson (batik watercolor and jewelry) and a guest artist to be announced. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

Watch racing in Polson
POLSON — Saturday racing will have Mod $, Big Sky West Coast late models, and Thunderstocks. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. Qualifying time trials are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. General admission is $10; juniors ages 8-17 are $7. Kids 7 and under are free. Come have some fun. POLSON — The Accordion Jam scheduled for Sunday, June 3, at the Polson Elks has been cancelled. Jam resumes on July 1 at the Elks from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Church celebrates 25th anniversary
POLSON — Polson Community Church will celebrate their 25th Anniversary on Sunday, June 3, following 10:30 a.m. worship. A lunch will be served. All are welcome. June 3 begins the Church’s year-round worship at 10:30 a.m. Seekers group is at 9:15 a.m.

POLSON/RONAN — The Boys and Girl Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County, in both Ronan and Polson, will be closed from Monday, June 4, through Friday, June 8.

Dance, learn to dance, watch dancing in Polson
POLSON — Calling all of you who love Classic Country music to come and join us at our next dance from 7-10 p.m., on Wednesday, June 6, at the Elks on Main Street. The Band also plays Rock from the '50s, '60s and '70s. If you like hamburgers, the Elks puts out a pretty good one before our dance. This is a community dance and everyone is welcome. You do not have to be an Elk member to attend. Dress is casual, just come and enjoy the music and meet new people. We would love to see some young dancers come and have some fun with us too. If you don’t know how to dance, I think there are enough of us there that can help you learn. Now, I am talking any age, from those that would like to learn to those who would just like to get back in the “Swing of Things.” It really is fun and we look forward to you all coming.
Join Chamber luncheon
POLSON — The Polson Chamber of Commerce luncheon will be held at the Kwa-TaqNuk Resort from noon- 1p.m. The featured speaker for this month is Webb Brown from the Montana Chamber of Commerce. Lunch is $11.
Men’s quartet to play
POLSON — The Ambassadors, a men’s quartet representing Rio Grande Bible Institute, will be at Polson Alliance Church, on Wednesday, June 6, at 6 p.m. A fellowship meal will start off the evening, followed by music and testimony. All are welcome.
