Flathead Historical Museum opens
POLSON — The Polson Flathead Historical Museum opens for the season on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, and goes until Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5. The museum is located at 708 Main Street and operates Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Call 406-883-3049, for more information.
Memorial Day parades organized
POLSON/RONAN — Memorial Day parades, organized by the Polson and Ronan VFW posts, will be held in Polson at 10 a.m. and Ronan at noon. Memorial services at both the Polson and Ronan cemeteries will be held immediately after the parades. Following all ceremonies a lunch will be served, about 1:30 p.m., at the Ronan VFW, 35981 Round Butte Road. This event is open to all community members and their families. Sandpiper holds reception
POLSON — A reception will be held Friday, June 3, from 5-7 p.m. at the Sandpiper Art Gallery, 306 Main Street, for the “Beauty and the Beast” art show artists and their work.

Celebrate centennial with St. Joe’s
POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center celebrates 100 years with a Centennial Golf Scramble at Polson Bay Golf Course on Saturday, June 4, with registration at 8 a.m. and shotgun start at 9 a.m. This will be an 18-hole/four-person scramble with an entry fee of $100 per team, which includes golf/golf cart/tee-prizes and lunch. POLSON — Come gather some wisdom from the experts at Delaney’s Nursery through their spring seminar series. Go wild with summer reading
POLSON — North Lake County Library begins registration for their summer reading program, “On Your Mark, Get Set, Go Wild,” at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 6. Children, teens, and adults each receive a reading record at registration, with eight reading benchmarks they need to achieve (for a total of 32 hours of reading or reading to your child). Prizes, coupons and raffle tickets are awarded and we’ll be partnering with Bob Ricketts to offer free Happy Hippo rides to all reading program participants who finish all 8 levels. Kids’ Club brings fun to youngsters
POLSON — Polson Alliance Church will have crafts, music and fun for kids ages 5 to 12 June 7-10. Linderman Outdoor Classroom will take place at Linderman School from 9:30-11 a.m. and at 1807 Woodbine Way from 1:30-3 p.m. There is no cost and registration is at the door. Legal assistance available at library
POLSON — Missoula Self Help law Center will be in Polson on Tuesday, June 7, at the North Lake County Public Library from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. They will provide services on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Walk-ins are welcome all day or to schedule an appointment please call 406-258-3428.
Polson Farmers Market holds Fresh SNAP class
Tuesday, June 7 from 2-3 p.m.
Come learn and earn $20 worth of Fresh SNAP Double Dollars to be spent on locally grown produce at the Polson Farmer’s Market. All are welcome, including children, but only SNAP recipients will receive market credit.
The first class of the season will focus on garden planting basics and will be taught by Rene Kittle from 2-3 p.m. Class will be held at Flathead Reservation Extension: 701 B 1st St. E., Polson. Space is limited.

POLSON — The Lake County Democrats are conducting their 2016 Democratic Delegate Selection County Convention to be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, at Journey Be (Soups On) 101 Seventh Ave. W. The convention is free, disability assessable, and open to all democrats registered as voters in Lake County. Democrats will caucus to elect County delegates to be sent to the Montana Democratic Party’s Delegate Selection Convention in Helena, on Saturday, June 11, to elect Montana Democrats to serve as delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, the week of July 25, 2016.
