Chamber hosts annual ‘Chamber Blast’
POLSON — The Polson Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Chamber Blast” will be held on Saturday, June 20, at Big Sky Sporting Clays.
The event will start will a quick beginner’s shooting clinic, followed by a shooter’s safety briefing prior to the Sporting Clays Tournament. There will be a barbecue lunch and awards ceremony from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Cost is $110 per shooter or $330 per three-person team. Bring your shotgun, eye protection and ear protection. No experience is necessary. The registration deadline is June 15. Send payment to: Polson Chamber of Commerce, 418 Main Street, Polson, Montana 59860.
Enjoy music to benefit Co-op
POLSON — Enjoy music by Andre Floyd at the June 20 Benefit Concert at the Montana Co-Op, 401 N. Main Street, from 5-7 p.m. A $5 donation is requested at the door.
Festival provides food, family fun
POLSON — Food and western fun is waiting for everyone who comes to the Family Fun Festival on June 20. Come enjoy the Family Fun Festival at Polson Alliance Church from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be old-fashioned games, big toys, horse-drawn wagon rides, a barbecue, Indian tacos, and more.

POLSON — The City of Polson Economic Development Council has cancelled the Resort Tax Information Public Meeting scheduled for June 24, 2015. The meeting will be held in July. Please watch for upcoming notice of the public meeting.
Dance on a great dance floor

POLSON — The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1122 in Polson will hold a potluck social meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, located at the Polson Airport at 6:30 p.m. The Chapter will provide burgers, hot dogs, and drinks, everyone is asked to bring a side dish, salad, or desert. Ice dump benefits Relay for Life
POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center providers and administrative team have agreed to “take one for the team,” to benefit the Lake County Relay for Life. Pledges can be made for $5 for or against any of the 13 caregivers at the St. Joseph front desk now through June 25. The doctors and administrators will then have the option of meeting the pledge or participating in the challenge Friday, June 26, at 5 p.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson. The Providence St. Joseph Medical Center Relay for Life teams thanks the community for your support of Relay for Life.

Library celebrates Olson’s service
POLSON — An Open House will be held at North Lake County Public Library on Friday, June 26, from 2-4 p.m. in honor of Board of Trustees Chairperson Carole Olson. Carole, who has served as a library trustee for seven and a half years, is leaving the board this month. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome. Rodeo tickets sold at gate
POLSON — The Mission Valley NRA Rodeo begins at 6:30 p.m. with youth events including mutton bustin’ and mini bull riding. At 7:30 p.m. bareback, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, team roping, tie down toping, ladies and youth barrel racing, ladies and youth breakaway roping and bull riding will begin. Tickets are available at the gate for $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. There are no pre-sale tickets. Food, beverage and beer garden concessions will be available. Live music after the Friday night performance.

Garage sale to support scholars
POLSON — The Polson P.E.O. Chapter AI is holding a garage sale on Saturday, June 27, from 7:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. at 408 Bayview Drive in Polson, located next to the Polson Golf Course. The route will be marked with balloons. Bicycles, furniture, quality clothing and gently used treasures will all be for sale. Proceeds are in support of scholarships for women.

POLSON –– The Mission Valley Speedway will hold a race on Saturday, June 27. The event will feature late models, hobby stocks and 4-cylinders with racing to start at 7 p.m.
Montecahto Club, Fire Dept. to fundraise
POLSON — The Montecahto Club in conjunction with the Finley Point Fire Station will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, June 27. The Montecahto Club will have a garage sale and bake sale starting at 10 a.m. and will sell raffle tickets for a beautiful king size quilt and an 18-month calendar of the Finley Point Fire fighters. The fire station, East Shore Highway 35, mile marker six, will again have their annual “show and tell” and a wonderful lunch beginning at noon. See you there.
