Dance in Polson
POLSON — Please join us for the community dance at the Elks on Main Street on Wednesday, July 3, from 7-10 p.m. Music is by Ken’s Country Combo Band playing a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. Everyone is welcome. No Elks membership is required. Cover charge is $5. Come and check us out.

Attend parade in downtown Polson, fireworks at dark
POLSON — Please join us for the July 4th parade in downtown Polson beginning at noon at Cherry Valley School. Parade entry forms are available at the Polson Chamber of Commerce. Call the chamber office for more information: 406-883-5969. Fireworks take place at dusk. The best place to view the fireworks is Riverside Park.
Library closed for 4th of July
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the 4th of July holiday.
Run in annual 4th of July Firecracker race
POLSON — The annual Polson Running 4th of July Firecracker 1-mile run begins with a dash down Main Street. Join Polson Running at St. Joseph Medical Center for registration at 11 a.m. and start of the race. The route goes down Main and ends on Third Ave. Cost is a canned good or a donation per person. The race starts at 11:45 a.m. sharp. All proceeds benefit the Polson Food Bank. For more information visit: Polsonrunning.com.

Man acts like a spider in movie at library
POLSON —A movie about training a man acting like a spider will take place at the North Lake County Library at 3:45 p.m. Popcorn will be served.
Sunday, July 7
Country jam to replace accordion jam
POLSON — We will be starting a new classic country jam at the Elks, effective Sunday, July 7, that will go from 2-5 p.m. This will take the time-slot of the Northwest Accordion Association Jam, (recently disbanded), who played on the first Sunday of each month. We are trying to continue providing the community a place to jam to classic country music, dance, listen and socialize with family and friends for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. All are welcome. Players and singers do not have to pay but family members and all others will each pay $5 at the door. For further information call Ellen at 406-883-3130.

Get ‘buggy’ at the Elks
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library announces that on Thursday, July 11, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. the annual “Bug Race” will take place. Join us at the Elks Lodge for this exciting race with toy bugs. Racers will be divided into separate age groups. Join us.
Join space-center library program
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library continues their “A Universe of Stories” program at 10:30 a.m. This is a space-center children’s program that will run weekly until Aug. 22.

Free dinner served at Presbyterian Church
POLSON — The July Friendship Table Dinner on Friday, July 12, will be held from 5–6:15 p.m. at the Polson Presbyterian Church, located across from Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.
Pachyderms welcome all
POLSON — Pachyderm speaker Wally Congdon, Civil Deputy County Attorney, will share stories of how Lake County is using old treaties to help solve modern-day property disputes. His fascinating presentation will be on July 12 from noon-1 p.m. at the Polson Rural Fire Station. All are welcome.
