POLSON — The Polson Chamber of Commerce’s August SPLASH will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, from 5- 7 p.m. This event will be hosted by Riverside Recreation, 412 Second Street West and co-host will be OH Well Drill and Pump. The monthly Support Polson Late Afternoon Social Hour (SPLASH) offers participants the chance to network and learn more about the featured business each month. Learn, earn at Polson Farmers Market
POLSON — Come learn and earn $20 worth of double SNAP dollars to spend on locally grown produce, seeds, meat, eggs, bread, and garden plants at the Polson Farmers’ Market, for those that are SNAP eligible. In the final class of the season, Flathead Reservation Extension SNAP Education Coordinator Ginger Pitts will teach a fresh skillet class on Friday, Aug. 18, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Polson Loaves & Fish Food Pantry, 904 First Street E. POLSON — The seventh annual Flathead Lake Blues Festival will be held Friday, Aug. 18. Music includes Andre Floyd and the Mood Iguana, the Mike Murray Band, Halladay Quist, Ticket Sauce, Off in the Woods, the Kenny James Miller Band, Big Daddy and the Blue Notes, Jameson and the Sordid Seeds and Mudslide Charley. On Saturday, Aug. 19, the music includes the Michelle Taylor Band, Estelle and the Atomic Jive, Polly O’Keary and the Rhythm Method and Andrea Harsell and the Luna Roja. Join Solar Eclipse Block Party
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library is hosting a Solar Eclipse Block Party on Monday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. A total solar eclipse will cross the United States on that day. In Polson we will see about 89% totality. The North Lake County Library Foundation is hosting a $5 hot dog lunch with all proceeds going toward the library’s Family Summer Reading Program. Mission Valley Eye Center/Ronan Eye Clinic has generously sponsored the purchase of more than 200 pairs of solar eclipse glasses that will be available at the party to safely view the eclipse. There will be crafts for kids, educational displays, a photo booth, music and more. We will have limited seating available – feel free to bring a lawn chair for comfort. The library will also be holding a huge book sale in the meeting room from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. that day. We hope to see you there.

Help celebrate Gil’s 75th birthday
POLSON — The free “Night at the Museum” held at the Miracle of America Museum, 36094 Memory Lane, is held on the fourth Thursday evening of each month. On Thursday, Aug. 24, the program will answer a couple of the most commonly asked questions from museum visitors. Namely, “How did this museum get started?” and “Where did you get all of your stuff?” This event will also celebrate founder Gil Mangel’s 75th birthday so there will be cake and ice cream or root beer floats. Rodeo fun begins
POLSON — The Flathead River Indian Rodeo will be held at the Polson Fair Grounds on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25 and 26, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens, children 6 and under are free.
