ACT for America to meet
POLSON — The Lake County Chapter of ACT for America will meet on Monday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Polson Red Lion Inn. The program will feature “Killing Ed,” a new documentary film that exposes the truth of one of the largest networks of taxpayer-funded charter schools in the U.S. The schools are operated with n of the “Gulen Movement,” led by Fethullah Gulen, the suspected organizer of the recent attempted coup in Turkey. Rehearsals begin for Choral Society
POLSON — Tuesday, Sept. 13, is the first day of rehearsals for the Mission Valley Choral Society’s fall season and seasonal concert. We will meet at 7 p.m. at the Polson Presbyterian Church. Fellowship to study Book of John
POLSON — This year’s Bible Study Fellowship starts Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Polson Community Church, 1814 First Street E at 6:25 p.m. The group is interdenominational and has all female participants. We are studying John - an awesome book. The meetings start on time and strive to be done by 8 p.m. Unfortunately there is no childcare at this BSF. View free family-friendly movie at Sacajawea Park
POLSON — On Saturday, Sept. 17, the Xi Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi presents a free showing of “Night at the Museum.” The movie starts at dusk (about 7:45 p.m.). Bring your own chairs, blankets and picnic food to Sacajawea Park. Beginning at 6 p.m. we will have pop, water, candy, and popcorn for sale, as well as glow bracelets and necklaces. Spread the word and come to this free family friendly event. In the event of rain, the movie will be rescheduled.

Marines, public play golf for “Toys for Tots”
POLSON — The first annual Marine Corps Reserves “Toys for Tots” four-person Golf Scramble, presented by Marine Corps League #1041, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 24, (one day event). Play 18 holes at the Polson Bay Golf Course Bayshore Nine (old nine) 2 laps. Shotgun start is at 9 a.m. on the old nine. Entry fee: course season pass holders are $40 per person and non- course season pass holders $50 are per person. Entry includes golf and meal after play on the lawn below clubhouse.
