Indigenous film series begins
RONAN — Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition fifth annual free film series at the Entertainer Theatre in Ronan begins with their first film at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7. Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult. Skinwalkers is the PBS adaptation of the Tony Hillerman novel with Wes Studi and Adam Beach as detectives solving crimes among the Navajo. Western Native Vote will register voters from noon-1 p.m.

RONAN — The Ronan Library District will be closed the second Tuesday of the month for our monthly staff work day (normally held on the third Tuesday of the month).

Annual LCCDC board meeting scheduled
RONAN — Lake County Community Development Corporation will hold its annual board meeting on Oct. 10, from 3-5 p.m. at LCCDC, 407 Main St.
Auxiliary meets at VFW
RONAN — The Ronan VFW Auxiliary will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall.
Flathead Irrigators come together
RONAN — The Flathead Irrigation District’s monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Lake County Community Development Center, (407 Main Street SW), in the small conference room. Please note this is on Wednesday.
Lake County candidate forum on tap in Ronan
RONAN — Lake County Democrats and the Lake County Republican Women are co-hosting a candidate forum at the Ronan Community Center on Wednesday, Oct. 10, beginning at 6 p.m. with a meet and greet. Refreshments will be provided. Local candidates for county commissioner, house and judicial districts will be in attendance. The forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. RONAN — Five to six people are needed to help unpack and organize playground equipment in preparation for the work day to build the playground scheduled for Friday, Oct. 12, at the new Boys and Girls Club location in Ronan (previously Total Home).

Help build new Boys and Girls Club playground
RONAN — On Friday, Oct. 12, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., volunteers are needed to help the Boys and Girls Club build a playground at the new club location (previously Total Home). All skill levels are welcome and needed. Please bring cordless tools, shovels, rakes, etc. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided.

'Neither Wolf Nor Dog’ shown in Ronan
RONAN — The Entertainer Theatre is the site for the second movie of the annual Indigenous film series. Set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, Neither Wolf Nor Dog tells of author Christopher Sweeney who recounts his travels with Indian elder Dave Bald Eagle through the heart of Lakota country. Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult.
Gianforte to speak at Lincoln-Reagan dinner
RONAN — The Lake County Republican Central Committee and the Republican Women’s Club invite supporters to the annual Lincoln-Reagan dinner to be held Oct. 14 from 1-4 p.m. at the Ronan Community Center. Keynote speaker for evening will be Greg Gianforte and a silent auction will follow. Tickets cost $25 and include a harvest buffet meal by Vista Linda. RONAN — The Ronan Library District will be open on this third Tuesday of the month of October. The library is generally closed for staff work days on the third Tuesday of the month.

Flathead Irrigation District invites all to meet at RMS Arts Center
RONAN — Flathead Irrigation District invites you to an information meeting on Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ronan Middle School Performing Arts Center. Speakers will be Anna Stradley, senior water master for water court, Ethan Mace, surface water hydrologist for DNRC and Donny Boyd, county commissioner from Klamath Falls. They will share what happens to your community when you lose your water.
