Senior farmers market program seeks input
RONAN — The Ronan Council on Aging and the Community Food and Agriculture Coalition hope to start work on the creation of a Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. The goal of the program is to increase access to healthy food and meaningful community interactions to low-income seniors at our farmers markets. This means we need your input about how such a program would best support our clients here in the community. We invite you to our first community planning meeting Thursday, Dec. 1, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Lake County Council on Aging, 528 Main Street SW, Ronan, to talk about what we’d like to see for our community. We hope to see you there. Please RSVP to Dara at 406-676-2367 and let us know you’re coming.
