Fundraiser held for church centennial
RONAN – A big, wonderful rummage sale fundraiser for our centennial at St. Paul Lutheran Church will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Ronan at 35681 Terrace Lake Road. Most items are “make an offer.” There will be free coffee. Call (406) 676-2837, if you have items you would like to donate.
Help Wiggins go ‘Down Under’
RONAN – A spaghetti dinner and gun raffle is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, at Ronan Senior Citizens Center from 4-7 p.m. to help fund a trip for Vikings student AJ Wiggins to play with the International Sports Specialists, Inc. (DownUnder Sports) .The cost is $7/adults, $4/children under 12, $20/family of five. Raffle tickets for the .22 long rifle and shells are being sold at True Value, Westland Seed, Ronan Power Products and Hoversland Veterinary Services.

Horsemen invite public
RONAN — Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will hold their next monthly meeting on May 5, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ronan VFW on Round Butte Road. Come see what our organization is all about. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
Quilters list busy events schedule
RONAN – The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their next meeting on May 5 at the Terrace Lake Community Church, starting at 6:30 p.m. We’ll have election of officers and our annual “Brown Bag Auction,” so please bring a related item or two for that. Peggy Sloan is the chair for that committee, so if you have questions contact her. The Quilt Show will be held at the K.W. Harvey gym at the end of July. Registration forms are due to Kay Krantz by July 13. Make something for this year’s theme “Twisters,” as well as items for the Country Store. Bring in your completed TLC blocks, four fat-quarters for the raffle basket, and be prepared to purchase $20 of raffle tickets for the quilt raffle. We will finish the ribbons and the bookmarks for the Quilt Show at the meeting. Come and have fun. Everyone is welcome.

Attend busy Ronan Chamber meeting
RONAN — The general meeting of the Ronan Chamber of Commerce will take place at Allentown on Thursday, May 7, for lunch. Also the County Commissioners will be there to talk about the Lake County Road Department levy that will be sent out by mail ballot June 1. Mike Maddy, developer of the new hotel in Polson, Kalispell Regional Center and holder of the note on the Mission Mountain Golf Course will be the main speaker. It should be a great meeting.

RHS presents ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’
RONAN – Be entertained as the Ronan High School Drama Department presents a performance of “Arsenic and Old Lace.” General admission tickets only will be sold at the door the evening of the play. This performance will be at the Ronan Performing Arts Center on Friday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. All seats will cost $5.

Help fundraiser for cancer patient
RONAN — There will be a fundraiser for Laura Ridnour, who is fighting breast cancer, on May 9 at True Value parking lot in Ronan. Raffle items will be on display. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Subway, True Value, Discount Carpet, and the Second Chance Saloon.

Mother’s Day luncheon planned
RONAN — The Lake County Council on Aging will be having their fifth annual Mother’s Day luncheon on May 9. It will be held from noon-2 p.m. at the Mission View Senior Center in Ronan. Tickets are $10 per person and are now available at the LCCOA office at 528 Main Street SW in Ronan or by calling the LCCOA at (406) 676-2367. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance only.
