Learn about hearing health, financial help
RONAN — Did you know that one in three people at the age of 65 have some degree of hearing loss? At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, at the Ronan Senior Center, Kim Van De Riet from the Hearing Aid Institute and Dara from the Council on Aging will present an education program on hearing health and financial help programs. We will explain all aspects of your hearing. The Council on Aging know finances can be tight. Come and let us explain some of the different programs available that you may not know about.Please bring a canned good and support the Bread Basket. Bring all your questions and your sweet tooth as we will provide answers, pie and coffee.

Papa Bear Runs again
RONAN — The 8th annual Papa Bear Run will be held Saturday, June 2. The ride will begin at S & S Sports store in Ronan going to Plains, Hot Springs, and Somers and ending back at S&S in Ronan. Sign-up and start at 10 a.m. There is a $10 entry fee. Race ends and awards given at 5 p.m. This event benefits Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Indian Reservation.

RONAN — Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will hold their next monthly meeting on June 5, at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW in Ronan. We will discuss the projects we will be working on this year. Come see what this club is all about. Hope to see you there.

Basketball Camp held in Ronan
RONAN — Warwick Workout Advanced Offensive Basketball Skills Girls Camp is designed for players at Ronan School District who are looking to enhance and expand their skill set. Workout trainers will work with players to excel at their respective positions through progression based teaching and repetition. The camp will focus on shooting skills, finishing drills and ball handling. The camp is from Thursday, June 7 to Saturday, June 9. The cost is $40 and athletes receive a T-shirt. Quilters meet for last time before show
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold its June meeting on Tuesday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Terrace Lake Community Church. It will be our last meeting before the quilt show. Refreshments will be provided by Colleen Fenimore, Mary Heuer and Marion Sands. Remember to invite someone to the guild and don’t forget your show and tell.

Develop a championship wrestling style
RONAN — Ronan School District will offer a Wrestling Camp from June 21-23 at the Activities Center. Breakfast and lunch are included and breakfast starts at 8 a.m. Bring headgear, shoes etc. This camp will teach technique, drills, and skills for all age levels and abilities. Munch up crab at fairgrounds
RONAN — On June 22, the Ronan Area Chamber of Commerce will present “Crab Fest 2018,” which is a benefit for the Bockman (Ronan City) Parks. The dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and will take place at Bockman Park. Tickets are $35 per person,$10 for children 10 years of age and under, or $60 per couple. Purchase tickets at Ronan Flower Mill, Valley Banks, Ronan Napa, Glacier Bank, Bank-Polson, Access Montana and Ronan Power Products. Enjoy fresh crab boiled right there for you.
