Communicate, collaborate, make Ronan better
RONAN — A special Ronan Roundup entitled “Bringing Ronan Together,” will be held on Thursday, July 14, at the Ronan Chamber Visitors Center (Next to Glacier Bank). The event begins at 5 p.m. with a social and a program at 5:30 p.m. Help set the stage for open communication between local businesses and organizations. RSVP to: brandy@ronan.net by July 11.
Entry deadline set for Lake County Fair
RONAN — Entry deadlines for Lake County Fair 4-H entries is Thursday, July 14, at 4 p.m. at the Lake County Fair office. No late entries will be accepted.
LCCOA holds board meeting
RONAN — The board meeting of Lake County Council on Aging will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016. The meeting starts at 10 a.m. and is held at the Mission Valley Senior Center, 528 Main Street SW. At this meeting we will elect officers for this next year. Meetings are open to the public. Anyone interested in programs and assistance for our elderly citizens is welcome to come join us.

Commodities are available to seniors
RONAN — Senior commodities will be delivered on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. If you are over 60 years of age and would like to receive commodities, please call our office at 406-676-2367 for information or an application. Commodities are available every other month and include approximately $100 worth of food. For more information call 406-676-2367.
Ronan Airport master plan topic of meeting
RONAN — The kickoff meeting for the Ronan Airport Master Plan will be held July 19 in the Pilots’ Lounge at the Ronan Airport. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and should last an hour and a half (until 8 p.m.)
We will be discussing the airport master planning process and project schedule, as well as information regarding the existing airfield.

Pre-order cherries, support club
RONAN — The Ronan Boys and Girls Club is fundraising by selling Flathead cherries. Two pounds will sell for $5 and 20-pound lugs will sell for $30. Lambert, Lapin and Rainier cherries are projected to be available by mid-July. Rainier cherries will sell for $8 for two pounds. Pre-order by calling 406-676-9211 or emailing: bgccherries@gmail.com. All money collected goes directly to the club.

RONAN — On Thursday, July 21, open class entries for the Lake County Fair are due at 4 p.m. in the Lake County Fair office.

Rummage sale proceeds benefit PEO scholarships
RONAN — The Lower Mission Valley Chapter of PEO will hold their annual rummage sale on July 22, on the west side of Ronan Glacier Bank, across from the city park. It will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Baked goods, clothing, household goods, accessories, books, games and miscellaneous items will be available for sale. All proceeds from the sale will be used for PEO sponsored scholarships for women.

RONAN — Lake County Fair to hold shotgun event at Big Sky Sporting Clays at 10 a.m.

Lake County Fair begins
RONAN — The Lake County Fair begins in Ronan. The mini-horse is at 8:30 a.m.; the horse show is at 11:30 a.m. and interview judging will take place at noon.

Fair schedule includes dogs, poultry
RONAN — 4-H dog obedience and showmanship/ rally and agility will take place at the Lake County Fair from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.; large animal check-in is from 3-7 p.m.; 4-H family style dinner is from 5-8 p.m.; non-perishable open class check-in is from 5-8 p.m.; 4-H and open class poultry/rabbit check-in is from 6-8 p.m. and from 6-9 p.m. large animal weigh-in takes place.

RONAN — We need you to come and participate in our incredible Fair Talent Show. There are two categories for youth and adults. We award three winners in each category. The prizes are cash and it is really fun. There are limited slots, so contact the fair office or Jim Pettit as soon as possible for more information at 406- 676-8224.
Market beef judging ends the day at fair
RONAN — Judges’ orientation begins at 8 a.m.; perishable open class is from 9 a.m.-noon; swine showmanship/judging is from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; llama/ alpaca showmanship/judging begins at 10 a.m.; cat show is at 3 p.m.; open class judges orientation at 5 p.m.; 4-H family style dinner and entertainment from 5-8 p.m.; open class judging from 6-9 p.m.; market beef judging at 7 p.m.
