Fair begins with horse shows
RONAN — The Lake County Fair theme for this year is “Blue Jean Blast.” Each day of the fair offers spectator interaction with livestock shows, entertainment, youth activities and project judging. High-lights for the first day of the fair are horse shows and judging.

RONAN — Highlights at the Lake County Fair are dog obedience, showmanship and 4-H poultry/rabbits.

Concert ends the day at fair
RONAN — Pigs, cats, and beef will be shown at the Lake County Fair on Wednesday. Jim Pettit and the Little Big Band will put on a concert from 5-7 p.m.
Thursday, July 30
Concert, livestock auction on tap at fair
RONAN –– A concert presented by “Fresh off the Vine” will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Lake County Fair. A Market Livestock Auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Quilt guild holds annual show
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their annual Quilt Show at the K. William Harvey gym in Ronan on July 30, 31 and Aug. 1 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
The theme this year is “Twist and Shout.” Kay Krantz will be the featured quilter and Tonya Gray has a family history booth planned. There will be raffles for a quilt, two fat-quarter suitcases, a youth category this year and several vendors showing their wares.

Quilt guild members should work the shifts they’ve signed up for.

Pioneer Days begins in Ronan
RONAN –– Pioneer Days celebration begins in Ronan on July 31 and will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday July 31-Aug. 2 Ronan Pioneer Days is a community event with fun for the whole family. There will be plenty of good old-fashioned entertainment. The first day begins with a Quilt Show at K. William Harvey Elementary School at 10 a.m. The Bulls and Boncs Rodeo is at 7:30 p.m. and the Street Dance begins outside the Pheasant and Second Chance at 9 p.m. If you have questions or want more information, call 406-675-0177.
