Concert ends the day at fair
RONAN — Pigs, cats, and beef will be shown at the Lake County Fair on Wednesday. Jim Pettit and the Little Big Band will put on a concert from 5-7 p.m.

Concert, livestock auction on tap at fair
RONAN –– A concert presented by “Fresh off the Vine” will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Lake County Fair. A Market Livestock Auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Quilt guild holds annual show
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their annual Quilt Show at the K. William Harvey gym in Ronan on July 30, 31 and Aug. 1 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
The theme this year is “Twist and Shout.” Kay Krantz will be the featured quilter and Tonya Gray has a family history booth planned. There will be raffles for a quilt, two fat-quarter suitcases, a youth category this year and several vendors showing their wares.

Pioneer Days begins in Ronan
RONAN –– Pioneer Days celebration begins in Ronan on July 31 and will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday July 31-Aug. 2 Ronan Pioneer Days is a community event with fun for the whole family. There will be plenty of good old-fashioned entertainment. The first day begins with a Quilt Show at K. William Harvey Elementary School at 10 a.m. The Bulls and Boncs Rodeo is at 7:30 p.m. and the Street Dance begins outside the Pheasant and Second Chance at 9 p.m. If you have questions or want more information, call 406-675-0177.

Register for Mission Mountain Classic
RONAN — The 35th annual Mission Mountain Classic, a 5k/10k race, is on Aug. 1 and begins at 8 a.m. on the west side of Glacier Bank (formerly Community Bank). The cost is $20 for participants 13 years and up and $15 for participants 12 and under. To register go to the Ronan or Polson Boys and Girls Clubs, Glacier Bank in Ronan or flatheadbgc.org. Rempp to share work at Ninepipes Museum
RONAN — The Ninepipes Museum of early Montana, located just south of Ronan, invites local artists to showcase their artwork on the first Saturday of each month, June-October, in the gift shop at the museum. Jim Rempp is the guest artist for Aug. 1.
VFW begins serving pancakes early
Ronan –– The second day of Pioneer Days begins bright and early with a pancake breakfast served at the VFW at 7 a.m. The 3-on-3 basketball tournament starts at 8 a.m. along with the 34th annual Mountain Classic Run (5K and 10K). A co-ed softball tournament takes place at 9 a.m. as does the Experimental Aircraft Association’s open house at the Ronan airport. At 10 a.m. there will be a car show and the quilt show continues at the K. William Harvey gym. The City Slickers Rodeo begins at noon and includes: kids' sheep riding, kids' sheep dressing, calf cash race, a pig scramble and more. The Open Rodeo and Ring of Fire begins at 7:30 p.m. Another Street Dance takes place at KD’s Valley Club starting at 9 p.m. and outside the Pheasant and Second Chance at 9:30 p.m. For more information, call 406-675-0177.

Pancakes, worship planned at park
RONAN – Lighthouse Christian Fellowship will be having a Worship Service in the Park during Pioneer Days, Sunday, Aug. 2. The morning starts with a pancake and sausage brunch at 9:15 a.m. followed with a worship service at 10:20 a.m.
St. Paul Lutheran celebrates 100 years
RONAN – St. Paul Lutheran church in Ronan, is celebrating 100 years. Join us for worship at 9 a.m. with guest speaker Rev. Terry Forke, Montana LCMS district president. At 12:30 p.m. we will have a float in the Pioneer Days Parade followed by a picnic lunch at the church located at 35681 Terrace Lake Road. RONAN – The final day of the Ronan Pioneer Days celebration begins with a volleyball tournament at the City Park at 9 a.m. Registration for the “Orange you glad we are doing this again…” parade begins at 9 a.m. with the parade down Main Street taking place at 12:30 p.m. The Open Rodeo and Wild Buffalo Riding event begin at 3 p.m. Family Karaoke Night takes place at KD’s Valley Club starting at 6:30 p.m.
