Republican Women to meet at LCCDC
RONAN — The Lake County Republican Women’s Club will meet at noon on Monday, Oct. 2, at the Lake County Community Development Corporation, 407 Main, in Ronan. LCCDC Director Gypsy Ray will give a presentation on what LCCDC does to encourage new businesses in Lake County, especially food and agriculture enterprises. She will then lead a tour of the Mission Mountain Enterprise Center, Montana’s only inspected food hub. Anyone interested in learning about the many ways LCCDC supports entrepreneurship and the economies of Lake, Mineral and Sanders Counties is cordially invited to attend.

Quilters to meet
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their regular meeting at the Terrace Lake Community Church in Ronan on Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. Marina Cheff will do a 15-minute demonstration on getting your quilt-top ready for the quilter. Please remember your survey sheets and any show and tell you have. Refreshments will be provided by the Thursday Quilters and information will be handed out for the Oct. 21 class. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there.

Indian Ed. Committee invites involvement
RONAN — The Ronan/ Pablo Indian Education Committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Ronan High School Teachers’ Lounge at 6 p.m. All are welcome to become involved. Come have dinner and discuss how to play an active role in our children’s education.

RONAN — The free movie, “Reel Injun,” (a documentary about stereotyping of Natives in films) will be shown at 1 p.m. at the Entertainer Cinema. The discussion leader is George Price.

RONAN — The Ronan VFW Auxiliary will meet on Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall. For more information, call 406-676-3380.
Monthly meeting for Heritage group planned
RONAN — The Mission Valley Heritage will hold its monthly meeting on Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center in Ronan. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.

Second movie in Indigenous series shown
RONAN — On Oct. 15 the free movie “The Doe Boy” will be shown at The Entertainer Cinema at 1 p.m. It is a film about a teenage hemophiliac who is of mixed blood in a Tribe where blood quantum is very important. The discussion leader is Shirley Trahan.
