Make a wish come true with radio controlled fun
ST. IGNATIUS — Wings For Wishes Over Montana is a radio controlled airplane fun fly event (R/C air show) designed to benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Montana. This year’s event is on Saturday, Aug. 13 and Sunday, Aug. 14.We have a new home at the St. Ignatius Airport where there is plenty of parking and plenty of pit area and with over 2,000 feet of paved runway. Model aviation pilots come from far away for this two-day fun-filled fundraising event. A valid proof of AMA must be shown at registration. As always, spectators are free. ‘Barnyard Roundup’ to be VBS theme
ST. IGNATIUS — Zion Lutheran Church will have Vacation Bible School from Aug. 15-19. The VBS will be held at Second and Diamond in St. Ignatius and go from 8:30-11:30 a.m. with a snack provided for children ages kindergarten-fifth grade. The VBS theme is Barnyard Roundup and will have games, songs, crafts and lots of fun. All children and their parents are welcome to attend.

Police Chief to demonstrate car speeds
ST. IGNATIUS — Citizens will be able to judge their abilities to perceive vehicle speeds in a demonstration by St. Ignatius Chief of Police Matthew Connelly during the St. Ignatius Neighborhood Watch meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and participate.

Have lunch at The Nest
ST. IGNATIUS — The Nest offers a variety of free activities and parents with children prenatal to age 5 are invited to attend. “Lunch at The Nest” takes place on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at noon and will feature guests from the CSKT WIC Program. Order birthday dates for Mission calendar
ST. IGNATIUS — The St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce is taking orders for the 2017 Birthday Calendar. There will be a table at Rod’s IGA from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19. Prices remain at $10 each with extra names and dates outside the household available for 50 cents each. 'The Nest’ offers ongoing breastfeeding support
ST. IGNATIUS — The Nest offers a variety of free activities, and parents with children prenatal to age 5 are invited to attend. One of our ongoing groups is our Breastfeeding Support Group, which meets the second Monday and the fourth Friday of the month, from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The next group will meet on Friday, Aug. 26. You may bring your children; we will have snacks and door prizes for everyone.
