POLSON — At Miracle of America Halloween season sets the stage on Oct. 27, for the “Night at the Museum.” Two ghosts will appear and tell about their mortal experiences, Polson’s namesake David Polson and his daughter Agnes. A tour down photograph alley will follow with a discussion of the “then and now” of our area. We will then decide whether to pursue a local cemetery program similar to Missoula’s “Stones and Stories” in which the living play the part of a relative or dignitary at the grave site. POLSON — The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold its 46th annual Harvest Dinner of Swedish meatballs, potatoes, gravy, lefse, salad and dessert from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, in the church fellowship hall. POLSON — The First United Methodist Church, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E, will have their annual Fall Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 4. The menu consists of soup and sandwiches topped off with an apple dumpling and ice cream and will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Art, homemade crafts and baked goods will be sold from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Proceeds will be used for local and church-wide Mission Outreach.

POLSON — Kristen Juras, a non-partisan candidate for the Montana Supreme Court, will be the featured speaker at a special meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club on Friday, Nov. 4. Her presentation will give voters an opportunity to hear what she believes the role of the Supreme Court should be and to hear her reasons for wanting to serve on the Montana Supreme Court. While the meeting date has been moved up a week, the Pachyderms will meet as usual at the Polson Rural Fire Department on Regatta Road. The meeting begins at noon and adjourns at 1 p.m. This will be the only meeting in November. All interested in knowing more about the Montana Supreme Court are encouraged to attend.

ST. IGNATIUS — The NW Montana AARP Driver Safety Classes will be taught on Jan. 13 at the St. Ignatius Senior Center.

RONAN —The Mission Valley Children’s Choir will present its first concert of the year at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, at Faith Lutheran Church, 406 5th Ave. SW in Ronan. Directed by Cathy Gillhouse and Pastor Seth Nelson, the children will sing a variety of genres accompanied on the piano by Robyn Carlson.

Rehearsals are Wednesdays after school at the church. New members grades 2-6 are welcome to join on Nov. 9 and prepare for the Christmas Concert in December.
