Don’t miss library’s Friday Christmas flick
POLSON — On Friday, Dec. 14, at 3:30 p.m. the North Lake County Library will show a movie with a star-studded cast full of popular British actors.This holiday movie tells the story of Santa’s youngest son, Arthur, who is called on unexpectedly to save Christmas - and not just for the one child whose gifts Santa forgot to deliver, but for everyone at the South Pole. This Sony Pictures animated film is rated PG and lasts 97 minutes.
Prepare for Christmas concert sing-along
BIG ARM — Mark your calendar for Friday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. at our historic Big Arm schoolhouse when the Polson school district choral group will perform a Christmas concert. Native artisans at Lights under the Big Sky event
RONAN — All day from 2-9 p.m. at the Community Center “Native Artisan Spotlight’ will take place. The lights go on at 5 p.m. at the Ronan Fairgrounds and Santa arrives at 5:30 p.m. for the Lights under the Big Sky event. From 5:30-8:30 p.m. there will be games and crafts in the reindeer barn. At the Community Center There will be a ‘Live Nativity’ between 6 and 7 p.m. Also during that time Robert Parot will perform a hoop dance.

Exchange food for fines at library
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library is holding a food drive. All contributions will be donated to the Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry. Patrons with overdue items or fines on their cards are encouraged to bring sealed, commercially prepared, nonperishable food items to the circulation desk. Fines will be reduced by one dollar for each item donated. Please note that forgiveness of fines does not include lost or damaged items. Patrons without fines are also encouraged to join in this event to help replenish the Food Pantry.

Check our website for the three movie titles that will be shown in December. Yes, we will be serving popcorn. These are family friendly films. The showings are free and open to the public.
Legislators engage in community discussion
RONAN — Mission Valley Rises: Democracy Engaged! will host a community discussion with legislators on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Ronan Community Center. ‘Annie Junior’ on stage at Glacier School
RONAN — Glacier Lake School Theater group presents a production of “Annie Junior,” the timeless classic set in New York about a strong, determined orphan. Christmas market held at fairgrounds
RONAN — A Christmas market will be held all day at the Ronan fairgrounds from 4-9 p.m. In the Community Center from 6-7 p.m. the Mennonite Choir will provide music. A “Live Nativity” will take place there from 6-7 p.m. and Mission Valley Ukelele Jam will then provide music from 7-8 p.m.
Pablo students bring holiday performance to stage
PABLO — The annual Pablo Elementary Christmas Program, “Someday at Christmas,” will be presented on Friday, Dec. 21, at 9 a.m. in the Pablo Elementary gym. All grade levels will perform. The program this year will include traditional carols, rock and roll favorites, songs celebrating diversity and humorous songs. Students of every grade level work very hard during rehearsals to bring a fine performance to the stage. Please make plans to attend.

‘Night at the Museum’ series ends
POLSON — Miracle of America’s 4th Thursday, free “Night at the Museum” will end the series with its Christmas program on Dec. 27 at 6:30 p.m. A 30-minute Christmas special, starring Jimmy Stewart and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will be followed by a filmed-in-Montana movie, “Headin’ Home for the Holidays,” starring singer Amy Grant and Dennis Weaver. This movie lasts about 60 minutes. The movie was filmed in Glacier National Park and the Scriver Art Gallery in Browning. Treats and donations are welcome.
