Arlee Library begins summer program through August 7

ARLEE — The Arlee Summer Reading Program is free for all ages and runs from June 12-Aug. 7. Events are on Tuesdays from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. Register with an adult from May 31-June 12 at the Jocko Valley Library. Reading events happen on: June 12, 19, 26, and July 10, 17, 24, 31, and Aug. 7. Library hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 1-5 p.m.; Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. (Summer Reading Program only); and Friday from noon- 4 p.m. Visit our website at: www.arleemontana.org, or call the library at 406-726- 3572, with any questions.

Boys and Girls Club summer program June 11 through August 17

LAKE COUNTY — The Flathead Reservation and Lake County Boys and Girls Club will operate a summer program at both their Polson and Ronan sites Monday-Friday (not July 4) from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. from June 11-Aug. 17. The cost is $25 per month and must be paid up front in addition to membership fee. Space is limited. The summer program focuses on academics, good character and citizenship and developing healthy lifestyles. Applications may be picked up onsite or at: www.flatheadbgc.org.

Polson reading program June 11 through August 10

POLSON — The national theme for the Family Summer Reading Program is “Libraries Rock.” Registration begins at the North Lake County Public Library on Monday, June 11, and ends on Aug. 10. On Monday, June 11, the library will host the Usborne Book Fair. Come browse the latest books.

Summer hours announced through September 10

POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will begin their summer hours on Friday, June 1. They will be open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery ministers to anyone

POLSON — Celebrate Recovery Ministry takes place at Polson Foursquare on Sundays between 5-8 p.m.

All are welcome to join us each Sunday evening. CR is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry for anyone with hurts, habits or hang-ups. The evening starts off with dinner followed by a teaching and discussion groups with coffee/dessert. Childcare is available. Join ‘Barefoot Church’ service

POLSON — Weekly Sunday “Barefoot Church” services are at 1 p.m. at the Montana Co-op. Come as you are. Bask in the Spirit, no judgment, just love and worship, forgiveness and healing.

Gather for prayers, readings, meal

POLSON -- Soul-food Saturday is a community gathering at the Co-op HUB to share prayers, readings and discussion on the topic of unity, followed by a light meal. Kids of all ages are welcome; supervision is provided.

New hours announced for MO

POLSON — Miracle of America’s hours are now 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 1:30-6 p.m. on Sundays. Some holidays may be shorter hours as well, so it is best to call 406-883-6804 first. Our free “Night at the Museum” is on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Donations or treats are always welcome. Schoolteachers are encouraged to give extra credit for a report from attending students.

Montecahto Club invites new members

 POLSON — The Montecahto Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. We are a social and service organization and sponsor a scholarship for a graduating senior, cook and serve lunch at “Soup’s On,” collect for the Food Bank, send Care packages to the overseas troops and help out wherever we can. We welcome new members. Come to a meeting and get to know us.

LAKE COUNTY — Are you affected by someone else’s drinking? AlAnon can help. Area meetings are anonymous, non-smoking, 12-step recovery for family and friends of alcoholics. Come join us. There are no membership dues. Visit ‘Lights Under the Big Sky’ event

RONAN —The Lights Under the Big Sky event at the Fairgrounds in Ronan begins Dec. 1, and runs the first three weekends in December: Dec. 1-3, 8-10 and 15-17. This Christmas festival will be great fun for everyone. There will be a wonderful Christmas Market, lots of kids’ activities, live music, tasty food and great light displays, all to help make the holidays merry and bright. Hours of operation are 5-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1-6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $3 per person. A family rate of $15 for six or more people is offered on Sundays. Children 4-years and younger are free. Kids’ crafts will begin in the Elf Workshop at 5:30 p.m.

Give to Polson food drive

POLSON — Glacier Bank and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson are co-hosting a holiday food drive. You may drop off your non-perishable, non-expired food items at the Glacier Bank Polson location and the St. Joseph Medical Center lobby. All food collected will be given to Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry. The drive runs through Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017. Happy holidays and thank you

ST. IGNATIUS — Welcome Home and Adult Formation classes are scheduled to be taught. Fr. Hightower will lead both an Advent and a Lenten series based on the six dimensions of adult faith formation from the USCCB document, “Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us.” Invite your friends home or come as you are to the St. Ignatius Mission Church social hall on Thursdays at 7 p.m. during Advent - Dec. 7, 14, and 21. Light refreshments will be provided.

Listen to Flathead V8

RONAN — “Lights Under the Big Sky” continues at the Ronan fairgrounds with the Christmas Market open in the Community Center at 5 p.m.

The Reindeer Watering Hole is open from 6-9 p.m. and Flathead V8 will provide music.

Kids' crafts include using 3-D pens from 6-8 p.m. at the Elf Workshop.

Mission Valley High School Rodeo will run concessions.
