Arlee Library begins summer program through August 7

ARLEE — The Arlee Summer Reading Program is free for all ages and runs from June 12-Aug. 7. Events are on Tuesdays from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. Register with an adult from May 31-June 12 at the Jocko Valley Library. Reading events happen on: June 12, 19, 26, and July 10, 17, 24, 31, and Aug. 7. Library hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 1-5 p.m.; Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. (Summer Reading Program only); and Friday from noon- 4 p.m. Visit our website at: www.arleemontana.org, or call the library at 406-726- 3572, with any questions.

Boys and Girls Club summer program June 11 through August 17

LAKE COUNTY — The Flathead Reservation and Lake County Boys and Girls Club will operate a summer program at both their Polson and Ronan sites Monday-Friday (not July 4) from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. from June 11-Aug. 17. The cost is $25 per month and must be paid up front in addition to membership fee. Space is limited. The summer program focuses on academics, good character and citizenship and developing healthy lifestyles. Applications may be picked up onsite or at: www.flatheadbgc.org.

Polson reading program June 11 through August 10

POLSON — The national theme for the Family Summer Reading Program is “Libraries Rock.” Registration begins at the North Lake County Public Library on Monday, June 11, and ends on Aug. 10. On Monday, June 11, the library will host the Usborne Book Fair. Come browse the latest books.

Summer hours announced through September 10

POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will begin their summer hours on Friday, June 1. They will be open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery ministers to anyone

POLSON — Celebrate Recovery Ministry takes place at Polson Foursquare on Sundays between 5-8 p.m.

All are welcome to join us each Sunday evening. CR is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry for anyone with hurts, habits or hang-ups. The evening starts off with dinner followed by a teaching and discussion groups with coffee/dessert. Childcare is available. Join ‘Barefoot Church’ service

POLSON — Weekly Sunday “Barefoot Church” services are at 1 p.m. at the Montana Co-op. Come as you are. Bask in the Spirit, no judgment, just love and worship, forgiveness and healing.

Gather for prayers, readings, meal

POLSON -- Soul-food Saturday is a community gathering at the Co-op HUB to share prayers, readings and discussion on the topic of unity, followed by a light meal. Kids of all ages are welcome; supervision is provided.

New hours announced for MO

POLSON — Miracle of America’s hours are now 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 1:30-6 p.m. on Sundays. Some holidays may be shorter hours as well, so it is best to call 406-883-6804 first. Our free “Night at the Museum” is on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Donations or treats are always welcome. Schoolteachers are encouraged to give extra credit for a report from attending students.

Montecahto Club invites new members

 POLSON — The Montecahto Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. We are a social and service organization and sponsor a scholarship for a graduating senior, cook and serve lunch at “Soup’s On,” collect for the Food Bank, send Care packages to the overseas troops and help out wherever we can. We welcome new members. Come to a meeting and get to know us.

LAKE COUNTY — Are you affected by someone else’s drinking? AlAnon can help. Area meetings are anonymous, non-smoking, 12-step recovery for family and friends of alcoholics. Come join us. There are no membership dues. Adopt-a-Book at North Lake County Library

POLSON — To celebrate February being “I Love to Read Month,” North Lake County Public Library District is offering its annual Adopt-a-Book program. During the month of February, you may “adopt” a children’s book and present it to the library’s collection. You can purchase a book to honor or remember a special person or event, or your love of reading. Each book is $15. After a book is purchased, a plaque will be inscribed and placed inside. POLSON — Join us for All In Stitches’ 17th annual Walk Around Polson Quilt Show. Quilts will hang in businesses on Main Street from Saturday, Feb. 10, through Saturday, Feb. 24. Plan some time to pick up a ballot at All In Stitches and walk around Polson to vote on your favorite quilts by Feb. 21. Ribbons will be hung Feb. 22. If you’d like to participate in this year’s show, please drop off your quilts by Feb. 7 at the shop. Warm your heart at MOAM movie

POLSON — Enjoy a free movie at at the Miracle of America Museum’s, (36094 Memory Lane), “Night at Museum.” This event is held on the fourth Thursday evening of each month. This month on Feb. 22 we will show a heartwarming movie entitled, “Last Man Club,” about a World War II veteran who escapes his nursing home and goes on a cross-country road trip to find the last surviving members of his B-17 crew. In addition to the movie we are digging out our collection of over 400 vintage valentines for the month of February. Enjoy the “Art in Heart” as you view the thematic valentines spread around the museum’s diversified displays. Whether serious, sexy, schmaltzy, or just plain silly, you’ll fall in love with this exhibit. The movie is at 6:30 p.m. at The Miracle of America Museum.
