Library invites you to foster books through Feb. 28
RONAN — The Ronan Library has handpicked some new, high-quality books for children and young adults. You can “foster” one or more of these books this month by purchasing them any time in February. Maddy to speak at Pachyderm meeting
POLSON — Anyone interested in learning about developments up on the Ridgewater properties is invited to attend the meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Polson Rural Fire Department Building on Regatta Road near the Polson fairgrounds. The business meeting begins at noon and adjourns at 1 p.m.
Mike Maddy, owner of the Ridgewater site, and Dennis Duty, a realtor involved with day to day operations, will share news of the hotel under construction, new restaurants, Kalispell Regional Hospital’s clinic, retail stores, and offices that are making Ridgewater the fastest growing area in Polson.
Social time begins at 11:30 a.m., and brown bag lunches are encouraged. Anyone interested in topics and issues pertinent to our community are cordially invited to attend.
Meet with legislators
POLSON — All interested citizens are invited to meet with Lake County legislators in Polson on Friday, Feb. 27, from 7-9 p.m. in the Community Room of the North Lake County Library, 2 First Ave. E.
Senator Janna Taylor, Representative Greg Hertz and Representative Dan Salomon will be home for spring break from the Montana legislative session. This is an opportunity to meet them face-to-face, hear their report on key issues in the Montana Legislature, and share personal concerns on issues important to Lake County.
Lake County Republican Women will provide coffee and cookies. Everyone is welcome.
Potluck, presentation planned in Big Arm
BIG ARM – The Big Arm Association will host the February potluck/presentation on Friday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. at our historic Big Arm School. We will be sharing all the delicious dishes that people will bring to share with neighbors and friends. We are honored to have Tom Bansak of the University of Montana give a presentation on “Flathead Lake Ecology.” He will also give us an overview of what the Flathead Lake Biological station does.
