FRHRC talks immigration
ST. IGNATIUS — The Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition will hold a potluck and conversation on immigration policies and procedures at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Valley United Methodist Church, (70715 Hwy 93, top of Post Creek Hill). There will be a presentation with immigration attorneys Robert Gentry and Randall Caudle and activist Neyreda Calero. Questions and answers and discussion will take place after the program. Give food for fines at city court
POLSON — Polson City Court, (106 First Street, E), will hold their annual “Food for Fines” drive from Feb. 4 -28, Mondays-Thursdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Defendants with existing fines may reduce the amount owed by donating non-perishable, non-expired food.

POLSON — Drop-off your quilts by Feb. 6 to share your quilts with All In Stitches’ annual quilt show, “Quilt Walk Around Polson.” The show begins on Saturday, Feb. 9. Please drop quilts off at All In Stitches on Main Street.
Griz fans invited to visit, discuss new season
POLSON — Hey Griz Fans save the date. Come join us for a Griz Street and Gab on Feb. 6 at Glacier Brewing. Head Coach Bobby Hauck, along with his assistants and athletic department representatives, will join us for a brief signing day-visit on their way north. They will discuss the new signees and future expectations for the 2019 football season. Light refreshments will be served and it will be a fun fan event. The doors will open at 2 p.m. and the coaches and others should arrive about 3:30 p.m. Let’s show our support for the program and let these guys know how much we appreciate all their hard work. Introductory Zen meditation class offered
POLSON — An introductory Zen meditation class is being offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main Street, on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. The class will be presented by Zen Priest Zenku, Jerry Smyers. RONAN – The Ronan-Pablo Youth Softball Association will conduct girls’ softball signups at Ronan Middle School on Wednesday, Feb. 6 and Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. Signups will also be held on Feb. 13 at K. Valentine’s Day celebrated at Polson’s community dance
POLSON — On Wednesday, Feb. 6, please join us for the Valentine’s Dance in the ballroom at the Elks on Main St. From 7-10 p.m. Ken’s Country Combo will provide a variety of country and vintage rock and roll music. POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library District election for two seats on the Board of Trustees will be held May 7, 2019. If you are interested in running for the library board, pick up a Declaration for Nomination and Oath of Candidacy form at the library or at the County Election Office. Filing closes at 5 p.m. on Feb. 11. There is no filing fee or petition needed.

Arlee CDC hosts chocolate lover’s event
ARLEE — The Arlee CDC will host their 15th annual Chocolate Lover’s Festival on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., tasting starts at 6 p.m. The auction takes place beginning at 7 p.m. and the cost is $2 per person or $5 per family. Don’t miss ‘Mission Valley Has Talent’ deadline
POLSON — Register by Feb. 15 for the Mission Valley Has Talent contest. MVHT is a fundraiser for the Helping Hands Fund. Talent show rules and registration forms are available at: www.missionvalleyhastalent. org, and at schools and many businesses in Lake County. Contestants can register and pay fees online, or download a registration form, complete, include the fee and mail to the Helping Hands Fund, P.O. 1094, Polson, MT 59860.
