Learn to knit through March 31
POLSON — More needle arts begin in March at the North Lake County Public Library. “Knitting Basics” returns with four sessions on March 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 2-3 p.m. in the library meeting room. Beginning knitters, this class is for you. Master knitters Linda Kittle and Julie Hille can answer any questions you have. They also have the flexibility to help you finish the heel of that sock. Bring your projects and any knitting supplies you have on hand (yarn and needles). We will provide instruction, inspiration and can fill in with donated supplies from area knitters. See you there.
Dance cancelled
POLSON — Our regular dance scheduled for March 18 at the Elks has been preempted by another Elks function and therefore cancelled. We hope to see everyone at our next dance which will be on the 1st of April. No joke folks.
Join board games group
POLSON — The Board Game Group will meet again on Wednesday, March 18, starting at 2 p.m. Come to the North Lake County Public Library to play games together. All ages are encouraged to join us. We have your suggestions and we will have a variety of board games available each week. This program is free and open to the public.
Rural Fire Board to meet
POLSON – The regular monthly meeting of the Polson Rural Fire District Board of Trustees will take place Wednesday, March 18, at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station No. 1, 25-B Regatta Rd.

Polson Chamber's March SPLASH cancelled
POLSON — The cancellation of the March SPLASH was made as a precautionary and preventative measure over health concerns regarding the recent coronavirus developments. Again, the cancellation is a precautionary and preventative measure only. As of Friday evening no cases of coronavirus have been reported in the state of Montana. For now, the Chamber does plan to hold the general luncheon meeting on April 1, as well as the upcoming SPLASH event on April 16. Check the Polson Chamber website and social media accounts for updates on all our future events.
Water rights protection on Kiwanis agenda
POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis Club meet the first and third Thursday of each month at the KwaTaqNuk Resort, Koostatah Room from noon to 1 p.m. Please join us on March 19 when our guest speaker will be Wally Congdon, civil deputy county attorney for Lake County. He will give an overview of the Montana Water Rights Protection Act.

RONAN — The Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County will present the first annual “Back-A-Kid” luncheon on March 31 from noon-12:45 p.m. at the Ronan Boys and Girls Clubhouse in Ronan. Come hear the “Youth of the Year” speak and watch a teen member produced video. Optional tours will follow.
