Library holds winter reading program through March 19
POLSON — Keep the winter blues away by escaping with a good book (or seven). The North Lake County Public Library is holding a winter reading program for adults and teens. You can stop into the library beginning Wednesday, Dec. 21, to pick up your Bingo-style reading log or print it from our Facebook page. Successfully complete seven squares on your winter Bingo card and then cards will be entered into a drawing in April. The winter reading program will run from Dec. 21-March 19. Since 1943, every U.S. president has designated March as Red Cross Month to recognize how the Red Cross helps people across the country and around the world. Sandpiper Gallery holds reception
POLSON — A reception will be held on Friday, March 3, from 5-7 p.m. for artists exhibiting work in the Sandpiper Gallery’s show, “Everything Happens For A Reason.”
Sign-up for Dodge-ball tourney
RONAN — Ronan spring sports teams will host a Dodge-ball tournament beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the old high school gym on Friday, March 3. Everyone in the community is invited to put together a team or come enjoy watching the competitors battle it out. Tickets are available at the door and concessions will be available. ST. IGNATIUS — The Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition announces their annual Potluck Series – Nourish Your Body, Nourish Your Mind. Biostation director to talk about invasive species
POLSON — Tom Bansak, aquatic ecologist and Assistant Director at the Flathead Lake Biological Station, will speak at the Friday, March 10, meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club beginning at noon at the Polson Rural Fire Department Building on Regatta Road. The title of his talk is “Shrimp, Salmon, Trout and Mussels: Invasive Seafood Chowder in Flathead Lake.”
