Stations of the Cross done Lutheran Style through March 25
POLSON — Lenten soup suppers and worship services will be held each Wednesday, Feb. 18-March 25 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Suppers are at 5:30 p.m., followed by worship services at 6:30 p.m.
“Stations of the Cross Lutheran Style,” will begin in Bethlehem, go to Nazareth and Capernaum, to the Upper Room and the Garden of Gethsemane, the Antonia Fortress and Palace of Caiaphas, ending on Good Friday at Golgotha. Breakfast proceeds to benefit veterans
RONAN — The American Legion Post 138 of Ronan will serve Fish and Pancakes for breakfast along with biscuits and gravy at the Ronan Senior Center on Saturday, March 21, from 7-11 a.m.
The price is $5 per plate. All proceeds will benefit veterans and the community.
Mexican food on tap at Methodist fundraiser
POLSON — Polson United Methodist Church’s Fiesta Dinner Fundraiser to reduce their mortgage debt is scheduled for Saturday, March 21.
This event includes great Mexican food, a silent auction, a pie auction, and door prizes. Prices are $10 per adult, $5 for children under 10 years of age, and children under 5 years of age are free.
Dinner is from 5-6:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased from a church member. The United Methodist Church is located at 301 16th Street E.

Spring celebrated with music
POLSON — A “Celebration of Spring” music recital will be held in Polson at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E, on Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m. Donna Rowold, organist and minister of music at Good Shepherd, is bringing together her musical friends and colleagues to join her in a concert of a wide variety of music, from classical to blues. Scheduled to perform are pianists Karla Gallatin, Karen Vergeront, Gay Cochrane, Heather Mergenthaler and Diane Torres; harpist Cathy Gillhouse; violinists Del and Cheryl Des Jarlais; and the Flathead Flute Choir, with flutists Michael Kramarczyk, Libby Smith, Barbara Magone, and Kathy Quist. A free will offering will be received to benefit the Mission Valley Friends of the Arts Heat/Air Conditioner upgrade fund. The Greater Polson Community Foundation will match the collection. All Star basketball games scheduled
MISSION VALLEY – All Star hoopsters will take the court March 24 for the 20th annual Mission Mountain All Star basketball games.
Four teams of boys and girls have been chosen to compete and will show off their skills at the Joe McDonald Center with the girls’ tip off planned for 6:30 p.m., boys will follow right after. Tickets are $5 per person, first-grade students through adults; free for seniors and children through kindergarten.
Each team will consist of 12 athletes from Arlee, Charlo, Two Eagle River, Polson, Ronan and Mission as well as Bigfork and Plains.

Event encourages cherry growers
YELLOW BAY — The 79th annual cherry growers’ horticultural meeting will be held Saturday, March 28, at the Yellow Bay Community Clubhouse, Highway 35, mile-marker 18. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Norm Gutzwiler, a leading Washington grower and crop management consultant, will be the keynote speaker. The event encourages the production of high quality fruit by all growers to help maintain the outstanding reputation that the Flathead’s sweet cherry industry has enjoyed for over 80 years.

Tourney to raise hoops funds
RONAN — A 5 on 5 basketball tournament will be held on Saturday, March 28, to raise money for Ronan High School basketball programs.
Teams of boys and girls in fifth/sixth grades and seventh/eighth grades will compete in at least three games at the Ronan Event Center and Ronan High School Gym.
