People’s Center to offer Youth Dance classes

Applications accepted for Rotary Festival through April 30
POLSON — Polson Rotary seeks partner applications for this year’s Festival of Youth. Applications will be accepted through April 30. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations who serve youth in Lake County. The selected applicant will be considered a partner and will be expected to sell tickets and volunteer at the event on Aug. 20. Polson Rotary is also looking for teams to compete in the Chili Cook-off. Applications can be found on the Polson Rotary website: www.clubrunner.ca/polson. Polson Rotary has given $235,250 to various projects.

Clean-up days scheduled in Polson
POLSON — The Polson community will have a clean-up event on Friday, April 29,-Sunday, May 1. The information and supply center will be located at North Lake County Library where you may pick up trash bags, gloves and be assigned areas for cleanup.

Fort Connah holds annual Open House Rendezvous
ST. IGNATIUS — The Fort Connah Restoration Society will host their annual spring Open House Rendezvous on Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1. This free event includes demonstrations of time-era activities, Moose Creek chuckwagon-style barbecue, baked goods sale, beer and wine, crafts and kids’ games. There will be historical talks after the opening ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Help cleanup at two parks
FINLEY POINT — The Lake County Park Board is hosting a cleanup day at our two beautiful parks on Mellett Point, located near the end of Finley Point. Ring in spring at hand bell concert
PABLO — The Copeland Memorial Hand Bell Choir of First Presbyterian in Polson will host the 35th annual Big Sky Handbell Festival at the Salish and Kootenai College Campus on Saturday, April 30. This year’s festival includes 25 choirs with around 230 ringers. The culmination of the festival is a free concert open to the public on April 30, at 7:30 p.m. at the Joe McDonald Gymnasium.

Helping Hands Fund Spring Music Festival supports aid
POLSON — Harp, flute and guitar music will open the Spring Music Festival at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 1, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson. The festival is sponsored by the Polson Ministerial Association. A spaghetti supper, prepared by the Knights of Columbus, will be served immediately following the festival in the church basement.
The festival program includes Harpist Debbie Conrad, the Flathead Flute Choir and Guitarist Nathan Eyre in addition to three Mass Choir selections. This event promises to be uplifting, spiritual and exciting for participants as well as for the audience.
This annual concert is held to support the Polson Ministerial Association Helping Hands Fund. HHF is an ecumenical project that provides emergency assistance to Lake County residents as well as to folks traveling through the area.
Sandpiper to sponsor non-juried art show through May 27

Contest dancing is slated to begin Friday and includes junior, teen and adult categories, as well as golden age.
