Classes for caregivers through July 8
POLSON — Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes are scheduled in Polson and Ronan for six Tuesdays, June 3-July 8. The Polson class will be in the Community Bank meeting room 10-11:30 a.m. The Ronan class will be in the MSU Extension Office at the Ronan Community Center from 2-3:30 p.m. The class is sponsored by the Area VI Agency on Aging and Lake Co. Extension Service, to help caregivers take care of themselves, better understand their emotions, communicate more effectively, and find local resources. Pros to teach tennis
ST. IGNATIUS — Peak Tennis camp will take place in St. Ignatius at the high school tennis courts. Camp instruction will be given by tennis pros from the Peak Tennis Club in Missoula. The camp will run Monday-Thursday, July 7-July 10, from 9-10:30 a.m. for ages 10-14 and from 10:30 a.m.- noon for ages 15-18. The cost is $60. Summer food program begins in Dixon through Aug. 1
DIXON — A summer food service program will begin on July 7 and run until Aug. 1, Monday through Thursday, with breakfast served from 7:30-9 a.m. and lunch served from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Dixon School community room.

Guild members asked to help at quilt show
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will meet July 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Terrace Lake Community Church, rather than July 1 so everyone can enjoy the 4th of July. Show and tell will be your finished challenge UFO’s and any vintage quilts you might have. Bring your four fat-quarters for the raffle basket and items for the Country Store to be held at our Quilt Show. Raffle tickets will be available. Light refreshments are on a volunteer basis. The Quilt Show will be our main order of business, please sign up to help set up, work the show, and take down afterwards, so we have another successful show.

Family Support Specialists to provide information
ST. IGNATIUS — Staff from the Parents as Teachers program of the Lake County Public Health Department will be at Good Old Days in St. Ignatius on Saturday, July 19, from 1-3 p.m.
Family Support Specialists will be on hand with bubbles, a tiny kids’ fishing pond and information about the Parents as Teachers program. The PAT program is a free, voluntary program that provides twice monthly home visits with age-appropriate activities for children from birth to age five, developmental screenings, and information and referrals to area resources. Moms can be enrolled in the PAT program as soon as they are pregnant, which many moms-to-be and dads find to be very helpful, since babies don’t come with a manual. Good Old Days offers free airplane ride
ST. IGNATIUS — In conjunction with Good Old Days in St. Ignatius, the Lake County Chapter 1122 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will offer Young Eagles flights at St. Ignatius Airport on Sunday morning, July 20, starting at 9 a.m. All children between the ages of 8-17, with their parents’ approval, can get a ride in an airplane free of charge. (Entire event is weather dependent.)
Gospel singing, desserts shared under pavillion
ST. IGNATIUS — Good Old Days Sunday Gospel Sing and Dessert Social will be on July 20 at 6 p.m. under the Good Old Days pavilion.
