Arlee Library begins summer program through August 7

ARLEE — The Arlee Summer Reading Program is free for all ages and runs from June 12-Aug. 7. Events are on Tuesdays from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. Register with an adult from May 31-June 12 at the Jocko Valley Library. Reading events happen on: June 12, 19, 26, and July 10, 17, 24, 31, and Aug. 7. Library hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 1-5 p.m.; Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. (Summer Reading Program only); and Friday from noon- 4 p.m. Visit our website at:, or call the library at 406-726- 3572, with any questions.

Boys and Girls Club summer program June 11 through August 17

LAKE COUNTY — The Flathead Reservation and Lake County Boys and Girls Club will operate a summer program at both their Polson and Ronan sites Monday-Friday (not July 4) from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. from June 11-Aug. 17. The cost is $25 per month and must be paid up front in addition to membership fee. Space is limited. The summer program focuses on academics, good character and citizenship and developing healthy lifestyles. Applications may be picked up onsite or at:

Polson reading program June 11 through August 10

POLSON — The national theme for the Family Summer Reading Program is “Libraries Rock.” Registration begins at the North Lake County Public Library on Monday, June 11, and ends on Aug. 10. On Monday, June 11, the library will host the Usborne Book Fair. Come browse the latest books.

Summer hours announced through September 10

POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will begin their summer hours on Friday, June 1. They will be open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery ministers to anyone

POLSON — Celebrate Recovery Ministry takes place at Polson Foursquare on Sundays between 5-8 p.m.

All are welcome to join us each Sunday evening. CR is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry for anyone with hurts, habits or hang-ups. POLSON -- Soul-food Saturday is a community gathering at the Co-op HUB to share prayers, readings and discussion on the topic of unity, followed by a light meal. Kids of all ages are welcome; supervision is provided.

New hours announced for MO

POLSON — Miracle of America’s hours are now 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 1:30-6 p.m. on Sundays. Some holidays may be shorter hours as well, so it is best to call 406-883-6804 first. Our free “Night at the Museum” is on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Donations or treats are always welcome. Schoolteachers are encouraged to give extra credit for a report from attending students.

Montecahto Club invites new members

 POLSON — The Montecahto Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. We are a social and service organization and sponsor a scholarship for a graduating senior, cook and serve lunch at “Soup’s On,” collect for the Food Bank, send Care packages to the overseas troops and help out wherever we can. We welcome new members. Come to a meeting and get to know us.

Fitness for kids’ program starts

PABLO — Salish Kootenai College's “Making Fitness Fun Program” (open to youth 7 years and older) begins Monday, June 12 and goes from 8:30 a.m.-noon, Monday through Thursday, until Aug. 17. The program will be held at the Salish Kootenai College Joe McDonald Gymnasium. Physical activities will be provided in-between breakfast and lunch. Activities include: swimming, kickball, football, basketball, dodge ball, Native games, volleyball, soccer, shinny, bike riding and gardening. Activities are intended to keep kids busy and active during the summer months. Transportation is provided Monday through Thursday to Ronan and Polson Boys and Girls Clubs daily at about noon. RMS begins food program

RONAN — Ronan Middle School will serve kid friendly meals for lunch and breakfast Monday-Friday (excluding July 4th) from June 12-Aug. 18. Breakfast will be served from 8:15- 10:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. There is no cost to all children 18 years old and younger or for special needs children to age 21. When an escaped convict, an anxious bride, a scheming new husband, and a suspicious attorney all convene at Grandpa’s house, it doesn’t take long for Grandpa to realize he has to reschedule his golf game. Get ready for chili


POLSON — The 11th annual Rotary Chili Cookoff will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, from noon-2 p.m. at Riverside Park. Make sure you purchase your raffle tickets, ($25 per ticket or 5 tickets for $100), to help raise funds for the Boys Scouts’ Summer Camp; the Mission Valley Aquatic Center’s bleachers, youth pool toys; and the Linderman Elementary summer program. MacBeth performed in Mission


ST. IGNATIUS — Ninepipe’s Art Group will present Montana’s Shakespeare in the Parks performance of Mac- Beth on Saturday, Aug. 12, in the Good Old Days Park. Music celebration at Aber Day Reunion


POLSON — The Aber Day Reunion Concert will take place at the Regatta Shoreline Amphitheater on the banks of the Flathead River in Polson from 3-9 p.m. Mission Mountain Wood Band, Sam Riddle, Andrea Harsell and Luna Roja will provide the music. This event is family friendly with food, beer and wine vendors on site; free parking; dry camping available, (no animals except service dogs); no coolers or glass containers; bring lawn chairs and blankets.
