Sandpiper's new exhibit features new artists from 8/23 to 9/30
POLSON — From Aug. 23-Sept. 30, the exhibit “Fresh Perspective” will feature new Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery artists Barbara Shrider (watercolor), Mark Sherman (raku pottery), Denise Zemke (stained glass), Gail Trenfield (watercolor/ photography), and long-time member artist Joanne Simpson (watercolor batik) and invited oil painter and pastel artist Helen Siemers. Adults, children invited to ‘Big Read’
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library in Polson invites everyone to take part in the Big Read. The adult book selection is “Love Medicine” by Louise Erdrich. Events take place Thursday, Sept. 22 and Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. The children’s selection is “The Mud Pony” by Caron Lee Cohen. Events take place on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m.-noon. Fees waived at National Parks
GLACIER PARK — Entrance fees to Glacier National Park, as well as other units of the National Park Service, will be waived on Saturday, Sept. 24, in honor of National Public Lands Day.
Garage sale proceeds to benefit Methodist Church
POLSON — Multiple families have donated goods to the United Methodist Church, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E, garage sale scheduled for Saturday, Sept 24. All proceeds benefit the church. POLSON — Mission Valley Christian Academy will host a fun night under the stars at their Island Dreams Fundraising Auction and Dinner at the Red Lion on Saturday, Sept. 24. You won’t want to miss the opportunity for great vacation packages, world class fish sculpture, area certificates and much, much more. All proceeds benefit Mission Valley Christian Academy. Marines, public play golf for “Toys for Tots”
POLSON — The first annual Marine Corps Reserves “Toys for Tots” four-person Golf Scramble, presented by Marine Corps League #1041, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 24, (one day event). Play 18 holes at the Polson Bay Golf Course Bayshore Nine (old nine) 2 laps. Shotgun start is at 9 a.m. on the old nine. Entry fee: course season pass holders are $40 per person and non- course season pass holders $50 are per person. Entry includes golf and meal after play on the lawn below clubhouse. Ronan Fairgrounds holds ‘Hay and Stuff’ auction
RONAN — It’s time to clean out the garage and barn. A benefit auction to help fund improvements for the fairgrounds and arena will take place on the Ronan Fairgrounds Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. Donations of hay, straw or other marketable items are appreciated.
